المكتبة الشاملة برنامج لقراءة الكتب الإسلامية يحتوى على ما يقرب من 8200 كتاب معتمد[5] تُعَد فيه الكتب بتحويلها من كتب مخطوطة أو مطبوعة أو مُصَوَّرة إلى كتب رقمية يمكن البحث بداخلها وتصفحها ونسخها وتحميلها باستخدام البرنامج أو من الموقع. كما يمكن تحميل الكتب بصيغة bok والتي تعمل في البرنامج الخاص بالموسوعة. كذلك يمكن استيراد الكتب بصيغ نصية أخرى للبرنامج.[6]

المکتبة الشاملة یک کتابخانه دیجیتالی در حوزه علوم اسلامی است و دارای بخش های مختلفی است که معرفی بخش های مهم و کاربردی آن در عرصه تحقیقات علمی مهم و ضروری می باشد.بناءً پوهنحی شرعیات و علوم اسلامی پوهنتون جامی ورکشاپ آموزشی جهت ارتقای ظرفیت محصلان تحت عنوان (کتابخانه الکترونیکی المکتبة الشاملة) بر گزار نمود.درین ورکشاپ پیرامون: اهمیت مکتبات و کتب خانه ها و چگونگی استفاده مکتبه ( ملفات شاشات المؤلفین تخریج الأحادیث القرآن الکریم وتفسیره بحث فی القرآن الکریم بحث فی الکتب نسخ النص تصدیر الکتب و بقیه موارد عمده و ضروری بصورت علمی و عملی توسط استاد بصیر احمد نادی رئیس پوهنحی شرعیات و علوم اسلامی طی دو روز پنج شنبه و شنبه برای دانشجویان ذکور ارایه گردید.

I am trying to install al-shamila to my computer. Before final installation the following instruction appears and says

I received your comment early but was busy installing Ubuntu on a virtual machine on my Vista to try it myself before answering. It seems that I need more time to download certain packages so I will give you the suggestion and you try it:

Alhamdulillah i was able to install shamila on my computer, but there seems to be one problem and that is when i try to search any particular text in any particular book the search dosent seem to start, can anyone please notify me as to how i can overcome this problem? Jazaakallah

Salam alaikum warahmatullah I did all the steps in to getting this software but the problem is when I go to library I dont see setup.exe im at the last step in getting the software but I dont see this setup exe can you help me jazakullah khayr

i want to download the part 26 and 27 and 28 of the maktaba tu shamila or the most latest version of which contain more than 5111 books if you can guide me.i will be obliged to you of your this kind action.

In order to to change the language of your Windows system, go to the Control Panel (which you can find in my computer or the start menu) then open the Regional and Language Options. Then change all the language options to the language you want.

I have already written a post about the Maktaba Shamila for mobile phones. Visit that post and you will find that all the books are available as text files in zip packs. All you need on any mobile phone is simply a text reader with Arabic support to view any of the books.

dear brother . i install shamaela in my laptop. i changed the languse from control panel but i could not read now it is grabled.i am using windows 7.
CAN ANY BROTHER SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.JAJAKALLAHO AHSAL JAJA.

I liked all books included at Al-Makataba ul Shamila , but there is some deficiency of books regarding some science subjects like Physics chemistry , Biology , English Grammar as wll as Medicine / Medial and spiritual books of Imam buni , amam razi , Aflatoon , suqraat , etc.

Brother, I currently use Shamela on Windows XP, but I wanted to buy a new laptop that comes pre-installed with Windows 7 64 Bit Home Edition. Does the Shamela program work properly on Windows 7 64 Bit Home? Or Does it only work on the 32 Bit version of Windows 7?

Microsoft support pages say that error 372 occurs when you install an application for a certain user only, then you run the application from a different user on the same computer. May be you can try re-installing the application on your user.

i have completed all the steps to download and install shamila but the language of the software is not arabic. it is a type of machine language. i have also purchased the software on CD but it has also the same problem. secondly i did not find upgrade file anywhere. please help me out.

There is no official iPad version. There is, however, an application called Shamela in the App Store and they are trying to develop it further and port more books into it. Maybe you could try that out.

Maybe you are not doing the search properly. To search for a word (or words), you must first select the books on the left-most panel (by checking individual books or selecting the whole collection, but making sure that the book names are checked), and entering the search words on the right panel. Then do the search.

I would have a hard time believing that the the Muslim scholars were worried about the content of their books being made available to as many people as possible. They would actually endorse it outright. The last they would have on their mind is the money. Plus sharing Islamic knowledge among Muslims has always been a sacred obligation.

The only real issue would be with the companies that publish their books (i.e. for the modern writers). But again that would be when some other company would just want to make money out of publishing it again. Again I would have a hard time believing that they would be worried about somebody converting the book into a .bok or .txt format for other Muslims to benefit from.

As for the other books in the library that have to do more with general literature, history, or others, I really cannot speak on that. Maybe you can consult the original owners and designers of this library, at the following address:

Is there any such library for urdu islamic books? Or can i add urdu islamic books to Shamila? and if any body knows about the islamic books collection in urdu then plz inform me.

Assalamu alaikum. Jazakumullahu Khairan. I have long had problem with the non- Arabic language appearing in my installed Maktaba. It is today I found this comment you suggested for someone- date: March 14 2009-. I followed it and it help me so well. Now I can access everything I want to have in The Maktaba, everything is now displaying Arabic. I am very very Happy. Jazakumullahu Khairan. May Allah absorbed you in Jannatul Firdaous. Assalm dears, i have download the shamila liberary into my PC and after that i have extracted the file, when i start the file it is in Turkish language, i m not familiar with Turkish language,

I believe you mean it is in the Arabic language. This software is not meant to be in the English language, and all the books that it contains are in the Arabic language. If you want to see the Arabic properly follow the steps in the comment above.

By the way, the official Shamila website says that they are currently redesigning the entire library so that it can run on Windows, Mac, and Linux and so that it would run faster. So you may keep a look out for that.

Assalamu alaikum! i want the reseach of Shaikh albani(silsalhtul sahi wa zaeef ) in software( not in pdf etc) so kindly help me if it is available. i wana see which ahadiths are sahi or zaeef. any one help me .

And i want whether a specific Hadith is Sahi or Zaeef (at least). i am downloading maktaba shamila as well but i heard that this in only Arabic. i am unable to use almaktaba al shamila on my mac pro. it is only for window. lots of time i tried and downloaded it but unfortunately i m not able to use it .. please let me know if there any solution ..
