Sometimes I like the live version of a song better than the studio recording, or vice versa. Sometimes I love a song when it's done by one artist but I really don't like another artists version of the same exact song.

I don't want to thumbs down the song because I enjoy it when it's the version that I actually like and I don't want pandora to think that I don't like that song, when really, I just don't like that version...

I have been a pro "paid" user for a long time and I wanted to share my opinion. I hate (strong word) re-edited versions of songs. I would rather not hear the song at all if it is not the original. Many feel this way. Why can you not offer a feature to exclude re-edited versions and maybe live versions?

Just re-released but only if re-recorded by only a portion of original members. In other words, songs that were re-done for streaming and not the original recordings. I don't care about censoring one way or the other. Thanks for replying.

I'd recommend visiting our Feature Request board with this suggestion. You can either post a new message for this idea or expand on the current idea for live version here: Exclude Live Performance Versions of Songs

Is there an option to disable cover songs? For example, I like Garth Brooks and would like to hear his songs, but not his songs being played/covered by "Books Jefferson"... I feel like if I click the thumbs down for Brooks Jefferson, it will also think I dont like Garth Brooks songs, since they are very similar...

This remaster album is AWFUL. Someone added a ton of reverb to it for reasons I cannot fathom. It is horrible to listen to and literally hurts my brain. I don't want to thumbs down it because a) I'd have to thumbs down every single track played from this album individually and b) I like these songs, just not this AWFUL remastered version. I'm pretty sure if I thumbs down them, it will take all of these songs off of my station, not just the ones from this album, since they are all the same songs, just with different audio mixing.

But then if you thumbs down two live versions of the same artist you will stop hearing the artist completely. This could create a problem if you still like the artist but can't stand live versions like me.

Additionally, I do see you are upgraded to Pandora Premium - with this level of subscription you can always create your own customized playlists where you can pick and choose what songs you want to hear in your listening session. Going this route will allow you only select studio versions of tracks, and leave out the live versions you don't actually want to hear.

I don't want to make my own playlist that's too much work and boring since you now know every song that will play. Even though most of your stations pretty much end up being like a playlist as they repeat the same songs over and over.

I have a 5th gen iPod that I have used Pandora on since day one. Lately, I've started having issues with Pandora suddenlink stopping and having to be restarted and sometimes the iPod itself had to he restarted. I have deleted the app and reinstalled with no change. I uninstalled the app last night and went to reinstall and I get an error message saying Pandora Music is not compatible with this iPod. I don't understand this issue. Someone please help!

I want to put pandora on my itouch 4th gen (8G) but the app store says the most recent version is incompatible and no abilty to get an older version like the version running on my older itouch 2nd gen- which still works.

Unfortunately, previous versions of the Pandora app are not available to download.

If you are running a version older than iOS 11, you will need to update your device's operating system (OS). Please refer to this article on how to do that.

Otherwise, I'm afraid you won't be able to download the current version of the Pandora app on that device.

Hi Adam. I have an older iPod (5th gen) and the iOS is 9.3.5 which is the newest version it will run. Pandora stopped working with the last update and since I can't update my iOS I was wondering if there is a way to download the older version of Pandora that always worked fine. I'm not particularly tech savvy so please take that into account if you reply. Lastly, I'm not even sure how I got into this "community" site so if you can reply via email I'd really appreciate it.

a friend just bought a used 2013 ipad, and can't install pandora from the appstore. is there a place to download old versions through a verified source like pandora or apple? specifically i think he needs `pandora 3.1.12.ipa`

If you'd like to see the ability to download older / previous versions of Pandora, feel free to check out this existing feature request. You can upvote ideas by searching for the title on the main feature request page and clicking on the icon next to the title of any given suggestion.

Is your head really wedged that far into the dark that you use the same reply to different questions? Where is a version of Pandora that will run on my ipad? It doesn't have to be the latest features as I'm just paying to listen to music. Or am I to believe that you don't care about your customers and that you are really just a bunch of scam artists, leeches, and idiots. Please don't patronize customers with canned responses. I will respect you more if you just say "I don't know" than the three responses you gave on this thread. Earn your paycheck and don't expect a free ride.

Downloading any app from the App Store will require that you enter the password for your Apple ID. Keep in mind that the email address and password for your Apple ID account may be different than your Pandora account.

Is there any way to obtain legacy versions of the Pandora app? I have an Gen4 iPod Touch that I use strictly as a Pandora player in my workshop when connected to an old iHome iDN38 AM/FM/Dock/USB clock radio. The last OS for this device is iOS 6.1.6 and of course the current version of Pandora is not compatible. It would be great if I could find a way to use this again. Thanks.

Older iPod/iPhone/iPad and other iDevices CANNOT update the OS to iOS11. For example, the last compatible iOS for the iPod Touch v4 is 6.1, thus it is not possible to update the OS to iOS11 and therefore it is not possible to load Pandora on it anymore. Your suggestion to update to iOS 11 is not possible. One of my iPod Touch players has the older version, which was installed when it was current, but there appears to be no way to install legacy apps, particularly Pandora on the one that I recently purchased to use as a Pandora player. Pandora really needs to make legacy apps available for the older hardware.

I managed to reinstall an old version of Pandora on my 5th gen iPod running IOS 9.3.5. You have to go to the app store > updates > Purchased. Then scroll until you find Pandora and press the download. The app store asked if I wanted to download the last compatible version and it worked

Model: Samsung S22 Ultra
Carrier: AT&T
Android version : 14
One UI version: 6.0
Pandora version 2310.1
Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening? Both
Have you encountered any error messages?: No
Does this only happen when connected to a Bluetooth device or also when streaming directly from your phone speaker?: Both
I have the premium family plan

This issue started after the phone updated to the One UI version 6.0.
Bluetooth control does not work
Application controls (play/pause, skip) will sometimes work on the device, but will eventually become unresponsive - potentially after screen goes dark.
When connected to car and car is shut off, media will play from phone speakers automatically and require killing the application to stop the playback.
clearing the data does not fix the issue

What is being done about this issue and when is a fix expected to push? I am having the same problem since the latest android updated and having to restart my phone constantly to get the Pandora app to shut down. Galaxy S21 5G, Verizson, Android v 14, Pandora v 2310.1 (Android-Tuner 23101040), I mostly only listen when I'm driving, so occurs mostly on cellular data, but app has also failed to turn off when connected to wifi too. I connect to a bluetooth speaker, which normally when I shut it off, Pandora closes too; but now when I shut off the speaker, Pandora just keeps playing on my phone speaker instead and does not respond to pause, closing app, etc.

Thank you for providing your device details, and sorry for the continued trouble. I've shared this with our engineering team on your behalf. Once the moderation team has an update to share, we will post it in the accepted solution and in this thread. Thank you for your patience as I know this has been a frustrating issue.

This is a new issue that started a few weeks ago. When on bluetooth in my car, after changing the song a few times from my car my car radio, it will stop letting me and the buttons on pandora will go gray. I cant even change it from my phone. I have to restart the app every single time, just so i can change the song. It's not the same issue where you hook it up to your car and you cant change songs from only your phone. I cant change them from the car or the phone. I attached a photo.

I'm having all the same issues stated by other people above. I just had another andriod update 2 days ago but since the update before that (around the end of November beginning of December) its been doing this. It's gotten to the point where I'm ready to cancel. I've basically been unable to use pandora for almost a month.

I was already on this page and did everything that is recommended and it didnt fix it. Just like it didnt fix it for anyone else on here. Thats why i made a separate post to hopefully find someone who knows how to fix it.

Ditto everyone else. Player controls become unresponsive. Started after last Android OS update. Only way to regain control is to force close the app and restart it. And then it does it again. Bluetooth headphone control doesn't work either. And I pay for premium. S21 ultra, Android 14, kernel 5.4.233 installed 12/4/2023, one ui 6.0. Turn off the bot and start slinging some code.
