Idid not realize that Publisher was storing and exporting meta data until I duplicated a previous document to use as a starting point for my new one, and my client noticed that the title field in the exported PDF file was the title of the original document, not the new one. I can edit the title meta data within Acrobat under preferences just fine, but was hoping there was a way to do that within Publisher, so I do not have to take the extra step of re-editing the PDF metadata every time I do a new export. Is it possible to create/edit metadata within Publisher?

The EXIF data list is quite complex and the human language (syntax) is not ambiguous in these terms. For instance a tag always is both a keyword and a label, - whereas "tag" is the label for keywords, like "subject" can mean "description" and/or "topic" or even "title", depending on the authors/readers understanding.

I am using Jupyter Lab 4.0.5 (Jupyter Notebook 7.0.3) and would like to edit the Notebook or Cell Metadata. I do have the Settings right side window with Advanced Tools open to see the property inspector windows with the cell and notebook metadata. When I edit the notebook metadata directly in the window and save the notebook, the changes are not saved and revert back to what was originally in the property inspector window. Even if I use Jupyter Notebook alone, I cannot edit the notebook metadata as it loses all changes.

I wrote metadata for a couple models that I created in ArcGIS Pro, and upon finding something in the metadata I wanted to change, I went back again to edit the metadata (right clicked on model in Catalog pane > Edit Metadata). However, after making my changes and clicking "Save," my work did not save. I have tried opening and closing the metadata editor, restarting Pro, restarting my computer...nothing.

Does anyone know why this is happening or how (any way, custom python scripts, whatever) I can most easily work around this bug and update my metadata? This is the latest in a long line of difficulties I have been having in saving metadata for models and script tools in ArcGIS Pro.

- My models are saved in a custom toolbox that I created. Originally I created the toolbox in ArcGIS Pro, but I have been cycling through different versions of my final toolbox so I copied the toolbox (several times now) in ArcCatalog and then continued to edit the new copy in ArcGIS Pro. The tools run fine. I just have trouble creating metadata that persists.

- The other week, when I was using ArcGIS Pro version 2.1.2, I discovered that changing the name of a parameter in a model deletes the metadata for that parameter (taught me to save all my model metadata in an external file), but I have not made any changes to the model that I am trying to update today.

Thank you for posting this. I had this same issue and found a related bug in the Esri support KB: BUG-000139203 Editing and saving changes made to a model removes any changes made to the metadata when the model is opened for editing. Closing the model seemed to work for me. I also was curious about whether I had to both save the metadata using Save on the Metadata ribbon and save the Pro project. I tested and found that saving on the ribbon only was sufficient.

I faced the same issue in ArcGIS Pro 3.3. Applied Metadata changes, clicked to general and back to metadata -> still ok. Closing and reopening the Map Properties -> Metadata: empty fields

It only sticks if you right click on the map -> Edit Metadata -> apply

Hello! I was asked how to edit the metadata on a geodatabase feature class both created in and trying to edit in Pro 3.0. When I was trying to give a demo on how to do this, I was kind of surprised to see this message displayed in the metadata tab. "This item has metadata in HTML format. It can't be displayed or edited in ArcGIS Pro"

Additionally, when you right click > Edit Metadata this error displays "This document already has a 'DocumentElement' node." We have adjusted the backstage > Options > Metadata Style and that doesn't seem to work either.

I'm striking out in he documentation trying to understand how to change HTML to .....? Anything that will work. All the metadata manage tools in the menu are grayed out. Anyone able to tell me both why this happened and how to fix it so we can edit the metadata?

If this feature was added, there would be a high risk of breaking existing user Chains. (it would be extremely annoying to set off a batch process, then come back some hours later to find that Audacity was waiting for Metadata for the first file of the batch).

So as I see it, the Export Metadata command in a Chain would set the same metadata for each file to be exported, adding the tag/value if that tag does not exist, and overwriting an existing tag if the tag already existed. It would be no use for adding individual metadata to files that did not have it already, unless Audacity eventually supports MusicBrainz or a similar open database. If it did, then the Export Metadata command would use that database unless specified to do something else for specific tags.

Having said that, I was able to Edit the metadata on Tidal tags in Serato and then use them for filtering tracks. I believe this is the only core feature missing for me from DjayPro. Looking back at comments it seems this has been requested since 2013, curious if this is on any roadmap?

Not throwing shade a DJay Pro, I absolutely love the software, but I really feel that these key elements are what is keeping the platform from truly being "Pro"software. In a professional setting, organization is KEY. I would prioritize this over full hardware integration or any other additional features.

Hi guys. A bit of help for a guy coming from Serato, how do I edit my track names in Djay Pro? Also is there a way to drag and drop tracks from the decks to playlists or to finder at all? Or a workaround? Cheers!

Is XLD a good choice for this? It feels a little strange to have to hit "Transcode" when done... it appears that it is recopying all the AIFF file data. Maybe that's what other metadata editors do anyway, I haven't tried Metadatics for instance.

Also, can changing a genre to something of my own invention (eg, "Jazz" to "Lounge Jazz") cause me any grief down the road? I'm just getting into computer audio, and don't know what sorts of hardware/software I may eventually end up using. Right now I've only tried iTunes, but can see going to an UPnP streamer/NAS system like a Naim plus a Synology. Also will likely try the new JRMC for Mac.

I'm apparently not using XLD correctly for metadata editing: I opened an AIFF album file using Open Folder as a Disc. I highlighted all the tracks, changed the genre as mentioned above, and hit Transcribe.

The files in the original folder were not changed. Instead, a new folder named "Lounge Jazz" was created within the original folder, and a whole new set of files with the new "Lounge Jazz" genre tag were in that folder. Help!
