Ifyour end goal is to log into Facebook, you can also generate a physical security key via USB or NFC. These two methods depend heavily on the device you are using; therefore, it is better to have a plan B handy.
The very concept of Facebook Code Generator works closely with two-factor authentication. This feature is based on security and helps in protecting Facebook accounts in addition to password protection.
By using Code Generator, one can easily get two-factor authentication codes without even using a mobile number. For instance, if you are in a region with no mobile network, you can easily use this tool to generate a code for a login.
We already know that the Code Generator is readily available in the Facebook app for iOS and Android. But what if you break your phone or lose it. That could be a problem if your primary source of accessing the Code Generator is your phone.
For those who lost a tablet or laptop etc. there is the option of logging out of Facebook from other devices. Needless to say, this does not require setting up a mobile number and subsequently removing it.
As you select a new phone number for two-factor authentication, Facebook will use it to facilitate future login. In case someone tries to log in to your Facebook from an unknown device, a verification code will be sent.
As you add a new email address to receive login alerts, Facebook will notify you whenever someone tries to log into your account using an unknown device. You will get an email alert informing you about the login attempt.
I need to add some facebook conversion tracking code, which should go between the tags according to their instructions. What would be the best way to do this on an Umbraco site? I'm new to Umbraco so it's not immediately obvious where to slot it in.
If the facebook conversion tracking code, should be on every page, and its the same code I would just added in the master template, if you have one. By having a master template you can add all the markup and stuff that should be on every page.
If you only want it on a specific page, I suggest, that you add a propery on the document type of the page type. The data type of the field could be a textbox multiple, in there you can add your script and print it on the the pages where the field has content. Documentation for the textbox multiple can be found here: -umbraco/backoffice-overview/property-editors/built-in-property-editors/Textbox-Multiple
Hello to the forum from a Keepass beginner.
My aim is to use my FIDO2 key as part of the Facebook login ... but this requires two factor auth to be created first.
I have got this far ...
Installed plugin "KeepassOTP"
While logged into FB using conventional means started the 2 factor auth process.
Received a QR OTP and copied the characters into KeepassOTP using KeepassOTP>OTPsetup.
Small dialogue box accepts this pasted set of characters and I see a current 6 digit code number and the 'next' 6 digit code number.
Typing the current code into the FB response boxes is refused (quote = something wrong).
Tried waiting for 'next' code but all attempts get same fail result.
Should I be using 'advanced' and what might those settings be for FB be ... or am I missing something ?
Thanks in advance
Paul
If you have an app on your smartphone like Google Authenticator, andOTP or similar: Please scan the QR code with this app. Does it it show a different 6-digit number than KeePassOTP? If yes: What's the time difference between your smartphone and your pc?
If the number of characters in the OTP secret is not divisible by eight, the string must be padded with equal signs (=) to a length that is divisible by eight because it is Base32-encoded.
I had the same problem on Amazon whose secret string was 52 characters long. After appending four "-characters to it in KeePass, KeePass returned the same codes as Google Authenticator.

Thank you "Rookiestyle" and "TomFei".
Success.
Have followed the route again and this time got a different page ... which allowed me to directly set-up a FIDO2 key ... that option was not available to me before - probably because I had not then got 2 factor enabled.
So I have registered my key.
Now having the same fun with email client on Android ... ah, so much fun.
Thanks again - over and out.
Paul
Thanks for the hint with the equal signs. They weren't actually needed, but it made me realize, that I should delete spaces between the groups of four characters. OTP works great with the simple KeePass 2 program. Thank you!
I would assume that they have some sort of cheat sheet. Especially because in normal programming companies, when you are put on a project, it must be approved by someone before it gets released. So I assume whom ever finalizes the release, would normally know what class and id they are using.
A common React pattern is to have localized stylesheets to individual components. The class names do not matter, because they are not maintained directly in a global stylesheet. We do something very similar where I work. Our class names in their class file have readable names, but they when they are spit out they have very unique names generated by the bundler.
As @mawburn stated, Markdown itself is not WYSIWYG. There are tools that provide that for Markdown, but Markdown itself is not. It would be like saying HTML is WYSIWYG because there are tools that give you that ability. The tool does not make the markup WYSIWYG, the tool is the WYSIWYG provider for a given markup language.
These terms are getting convoluted.
WYSIWYG is just a term that means (I see the end result as I work, the underlying code/markup is kept hidden).
A wysiwyg editor has to export the actual code in order to be used somewhere.
A primary downside to using one of these editors is that they notoriously output bloated code that we have little control over while inside the editor interface.
In web design, such a tool has to take in to account not just the HTML and CSS, but where all the Javascript fits in, and/or PHP, reactive elements, ajax, animations, transitions. It has to work with graphics, embeds, SVG, whatever. Very hard for one design tool to manage all of it.
Retrieving a Facebook account is a relatively simple process that involves the use of a code that is sent to your email or phone number to help confirm that you own the account. However, there are cases of Facebook not sending the code due to several reasons. Here is a simple way to fix the issue of Facebook not sending code to email.
Resolving the Facebook code generator not sending SMS is quite an easy process. All you have to do is to turn on Facebook text in your Facebook settings. When that is done, the Facebook code generator not sending SMS will be resolved. Here is how to set up Facebook text:
Facebook typically sends a 6 digit code either to the phone number linked to your Facebook account or to a linked email address. If you are trying to reset a new password or trying to login with a new device and Facebook is not sending the 6 digit code that verifies that you own the account, here is what you should do to resolve Facebook 6 digit code not being received by you.
To set up security measures to make your account more secure, Facebook will suggest you turn on the two steps-authentication. It will request that you choose a method for receiving security codes in case you would like to log into your account with a different device or browser. However, if you add more than two phone numbers or emails, your account will be flagged as suspicious by Facebook, and as such your account can be locked temporarily.
If you notice you are not receiving a Facebook password reset code email in your mailbox, it means that the current email address you are expecting the mail to come through is not linked to your Facebook account. To resolve facebook not sending code to email, you will have to either receive the password reset code via the code generator as outlined above or you receive it via SMS. Here is how to resolve facebook not sending password reset code to email using SMS;
After signing up on Facebook, Facebook sends a code to either your email or phone number so as to verify your account. If you notice Facebook is not sending a confirmation code to your email, all you need to do to get the confirmation code is to
Facebook usually resets the password by sending either a reset password link to an email address or a reset password code to the phone number. You can fix Facebook by not sending SMS code to reset the password by getting the reset password link via mail. Here is how you can resolve Facebook not sending SMS code to reset password.
I also tried downloading the app on PC, with idea to connect. this forced me to merge my oculus account into my facebook account, then forced merging my facebook account into a meta account, so now I have no Idea what I should be using. This forum seems to require my original oculus account.
The crux is that when I try to login on the quest, it now asks for a 6 digit code. But it doesn't say how or where it was sent. It certainly has not been emailed to me, it's not appeared in facebook, nor messenger. I can't think of anywhere else it would have been sent.
The whole login and authentication system is so cumbersome, bug ridden and pointlessly over the top - I just want to play some games, but cant even do that since some weeks due to this broken code system.
Same here. I keep one number so this doesn't happen so whatever number they have was made by them & I wasn't informed. Also I downloaded the free Resident Evil 4 & linked my facebook account as well so sending me an email for a pass code shouldn't be a problem, you'd think
Hey Nutmix! We know how important it is to be able to get into your device without having to go through all these issues. We like for this process to be as easy as possible. This is something we are looking into but let's give you some tips to help you out:
