Iuse Win7 / 64 Bit. Everytime I start the installer of the 64 Bit-Runtime of CodeMeter then direct after the opening screen the installer aborts with the failure-message that there is an error. Nothing specific.

What exactly is the installer error message? You say there's nothing specific? What happens if you install the codemeter 64 bit installer on a friends computer with the same setup? Did you try running the installer from the command line and turning debugging on? (This depends on the software used to make the installer)

Select the SBPro Pe start icon and right click on it, select "properties" then the tab "Compatibility" then check of the box for "run this program in compatibility mode for:" then from the drop down selection select the operating system that will run it.

As an additional help, just reinstall the SBPro Pe program, insuring it's installed after the codemeter software, and make sure the codemeter program is "On" and running, just installing it may not always "turn it on".

Enter your admin password if your system asks for the password (This may not occur). Finally, click on the "Allow" option to finish the process. Attempt to install your application to test if the process worked.

In another Thread I read from a user that he was also using Win7 64 Bit and he was in trouble with the 64 Bit Installer of the CodeMeter-Runtime because the installer was unable to read the HDD or partition size correct. He wrote he has become a suitable solution from a another forum member but did not leave a hint in this case...

It may well be that it is a version prior to 2.460 which was the first one for Vista and Win 7 native support, including 64 bit versions. The remedy is to install the 64 bit CodeMeter runtime by hand - download it from here ... or order the 2.460 upgrade from our web shop

Nils - he says hes already tried the newest from the codemeter site, and has already sought help from the codemeter support team. Something in the installer is failing to work, and the installer is spitting out a rather general error code.

Im happy to say "SB Pro PE" is running perfect with all 3 graphic sliders to the max and without problems ( maybe a little one at the tutorial loading screens where a tutorial sometimes not want to load and directs me to the main screen of SB.... - Ssnake, is this known ?)

Mr. Ried, one of the support-members of CodeMeter wrote me today and gave me the following hint which I want to post here - maybe it helps someone with the same problem ( Win7 Home Premium / 64 Bit and aborting CodeMeter runtime installer ).

With version 6.40 the vendor has rolled the x86 and x64 into the same .exe installer. The .exe contains multiple MSI's within and some DLLS and other bits for the code meter control center software. In my situation I wanted to install the whole lot silently, I wasn't interested in pulling out only the runtimes.

Note I have a file called "codemeter-serversearchlist.reg" this is an exported reg file of the server search list in codemeter, it tells codemeter what remote servers to attempt searchin glicenses on, you can make your own one of these.

We can also use PowerShell to amend the registry directly. First we have to map the registry to a drive so we can modify it like a filesystem. I choose to drill down in to the area we are going to modify. Then use that shortcut to make our changes. Don't worry, the drive mapping is only for the PowerShell session. It won't show up in explorer and it dies when the function is complete. I recommend making your license server "Server1" and using "255.255.255.255" as "Server2" so that CodeMeter will search the network if it can't find the server you listed.
