If you want to see every house, you need express passes: We got into the park around 7 p.m. and finished the final haunted house just after midnight. In that time we were able to go through every house, every show, and take a couple quick food and drink breaks. We did, however, have express passes, and that's pretty much the only way we were able to do all that before the park closed. If hitting every house is on your Horror Nights bucket list, I'd highly recommend upgrading. We didn't wait more than, like, 20 minutes in a line the whole night, and GA lines ranged from 30 minutes to 180 minutes most of the time.

If you have GA tickets, my go-to trick is going to the smaller, less popular houses first. When we got in, the lines for Stranger Things, The Last of Us, and The Exorcist were several hours long. I made the mistake of making a beeline to the most popular house last year, and waiting in that massive line was draininggggg. Do yourself a favor and start at the other ones! By the end of the night, the lines to the most anticipated houses are a lot shorter, and the smaller houses end up getting hour-long lines because everyone is rushing to get them in. Save yourself some time to watch a show or grab some food!

Reality Horror Night is a 2009 horror comedy film created by Sean Pomper and directed by Douglas Elford Argent who wrote it with Nicholas Mark Harding.[1] The film features mostly reality stars who portray themselves on a twisted new reality show. It was filmed in Glen Cove, New York at the Glen Cove Mansion. The film was released on October 31, 2009.

The event was the first such show held after dark at Universal Studios, Bullard said. Normally, the tours of the park end at nightfall. She said the company expects to lose money on the weekend venture but would not be more specific.

This new concept marks the first time Universal has created a permanent horror experience beyond its theme parks. The space will also feature a continuously updated experience, must-see seasonal events, and one-of-a-kind merchandise.

Would I make it out in one piece, or would this first-timer be too afraid to experience all that the theme park has to offer when night falls and it embraces its spooky setting? I stepped inside the fog to find out.

While the exact houses vary from year to year, for 2022, there are 10 distinctly themed houses to choose from. Themes range from bugs to witches to classic horror characters like Dracula and The Mummy. There's even one called The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare featuring a setting dreamed up by the musician.

During the heart of the evening, expect posted wait times of 45 to 100 minutes for each house, with the most popular ones requiring you to wait at least an hour on most busy nights. You'll find the shortest waits at the start and end of each night, especially on weekdays, as most people tend to visit over the weekend.

During the media night, Universal hosted us for the RIP tour, so there was no time to build up extra anxiety as we went from one house to the next. In total, we saved more than eight hours that would've otherwise been spent in lines. (Not to mention, we also stopped at a private bar thanks to the tour.)

Now that I know what it's like, I'm excited to plan a trip for me and my teen next year as they start fully appreciating all the creepiness of the holiday. Even this scaredy cat who still will not watch any horror films cannot wait to return.

For those who love all things monsters, gore, and horror, Halloween Horror Nights is the annual event that takes place at both theme parks now through October 31. Featuring unique Scare Zones and bespoke haunted houses celebrating horror franchises like The Exorcist: Believer, Universal Monsters: Unmasked, Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count, Stranger Things 4, and The Last of Us, the Halloween Horror Nights (or HHN) festivities take over both parks once the sun sets. And because of that, trying to experience everything you want in one night of fun can feel a bit overwhelming to navigate.

Luckily, NBC Insider was at the opening night for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, so we've got lots of tips and tricks on how to best tackle your priorities for your night of screams, so you don't waste time literally getting lost in the dark!

Buy your tickets online, and then get to CityWalk early so you can park and get through security and turnstiles without eating up valuable scare time from 7 p.m. to 1a.m. For those who don't plan well or get serious FOMO, consider getting a Universal Express pass, which allows the purchaser express access to every participating haunted house and attraction on the night you attend.

If you have priority events that you must see, once you enter Universal Studios Hollywood, hot-foot it to your number one priority and then get in line so you don't miss it. And be sure to check your Universal App and the Studio Directory boards all night for up-to-the-minute wait times so you can make decisions on the fly as the night flies by.

At the bottom, head toward the Transformers ride and make the choice to go left for Stranger Things 4, or make a right to enter the path that will take you to the house entrances for The Last of Us, Holidayz In Hell, and The Exorcist: Believer. You can stay in this area and knock out half of the haunted houses for the night. But before you get in line, consider buying a snack in the Lower Lot so you can burn some of that line time with something sweet or savory.

If getting your heart rate up inside a haunted house isn't your idea of fun, there are many alternative outside events that feature unique scares to enjoy too. On the Upper Lot, the Waterworld Stunt Show has been repurposed for a new, shorter nighttime show, The Purge: Dangerous Waters." It's about 15 minutes long and takes place in the outside area, so if you want to sit and enjoy some thrills, this is a good option.

Halloween Horror Nights tickets can be purchased online or at the Universal Studios Hollywood front gate, providing guests with Early Event Admission to select houses, beginning at 6pm each night of the event (subject to change). Various ticket options are available for purchase; click here for more information, including terms and conditions:

Monday night's performance was a significant improvement for Karagach and Shumpert over last week where the two were at the bottom of the scoreboard with a score of 28 out of 40 for their Viennese waltz to "Hopelessly Devoted To You" from "Grease."

Halloween is a time-honored holiday featuring ghouls and frights. For 32 years, Universal Studios has offered Halloween thrills and scares during its annual Halloween Horror Nights. For select nights from September 1st through November 4th, you can experience all the shocks you can handle in their scare zones and haunted houses.

These delicious crispy fries are smothered with beefless burnt ends gravy, vegan cheeses, and a sprinkling of scallions. We enjoyed these a lot and have purchased them on multiple nights of HHN. Find the vegan Burnt Ends Poutine at the Yeti booth next door to Surfer Boy Pizza in Gramercy Park.

The Terror Tram is back and transporting visitors through the horrors of the Bates Motel and the War of the Worlds plane crash set. Travelers on the Terror Tram should be warned that both locations are overrun with devoted followers of Hollywood Harry, a once-beloved clown who was fired from the theme park and has returned to hunt those who scorned him.

A creative new addition for 2022 is the Jupiter's Claim set, seen in Jordan Peele's extraterrestrial horror movie Nope. Fans of the film will recognize the adorable Jupiter cowboy balloon and the partially destroyed Star Lasso Experience. The Tethered doppelgangers from Peele's film Us stalk the set, armed with scissors and moving in uncanny bursts. But those who've seen Nope know that when the lights go out and the waving tube men go flat, the real threat has arrived overhead.

What do world-famous pop musicians have nightmares about? The Weeknd takes the stage at Halloween Horror Nights to give guests a peek with this haunted house inspired by his 2020 album After Hours. The house, which The Weeknd reached out to Universal Studios to create, takes visitors through the darker side of fame: botched cosmetic surgery, disorientingly dark nightclubs, and fans eager to (literally) sink their teeth into their faves.

An eerie column of orange smoke billows from the chimney of this Depression-era farmstead, hinting at the horrors within. Scarecrows have come to avenge the desolation of the Dust Bowl, using unexpected tools to turn farmers and their families into grotesque scarecrow-like tributes. (If you don't know what it looks like for someone to be stabbed with ears of corn, prepare to find out.)

In 1991, Orlando Universal Studios hosted a three-night event titled Fright Nights. At Fright Nights, there was one haunted house named The Dungeon of Terror. This event is what began the tradition of Halloween Horror Nights.

While the main event of Horror Nights is being scared, it is not the only thing to do. Many foods and drinks are available throughout the park, the only thing to fear is the long lines. The Tribute store will also be open throughout the night, and it is filled to the brim with clothing and other merchandise products from fan-favorite houses like Chucky or Stranger Things.

The young Universal Studios employee who was killed Friday night by a tour tram during a special "Halloween Horror Night" show had been assigned to jump out and scare passengers on the tram when he was run over and dragged to his death, officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

According to an official statement, "Universal Studios Tour is extremely sorry and saddened that this unfortunate accident occurred last night at a safe and fun event which otherwise was without incident."
