Irecently purchased the Samsung odyssey 5 32 inch monitor and am very happy with it :). I however cannot seem up grade the firmware. I don't think i am doing anything wrong... I went to
www.samsung.com/uk > Support > Manual & Software. I searched for my model (LC32G55TQBUXEN) but under the only relevant file I saw was Device(Install)(CxxG5xT). I installed this but that of course didn't upgrade the monitor firmware.
Many thanks for that! I didn't realise my current version was already the most up to date one I was hoping an update would resolve a flicker visual thing i thought was a bug bit ah well. Thanks again.
Just recently bought a 990 PRO 2TB to put in my Dell XPS 8950. The drive was recognized by the computer. It came with firmware 1B2QJXD7. I installed Samsung Magician and updated to 7.3.0, checked the info (no incompatibilities) and successfully ran the benchmarks. All was well. No issues. This morning, I got a notification to update the firmware on my 990 PRO from 1B2QJXD7 to 3B2QJXD7, but when I click on the "update" button, it starts the update and tells me I should save my work and I click "Ok" to continue the update. However, the update fails soon after that and returns with "Failed to update the firmware on the selected drive." Looked at the log files. Seems to be trying to do the firmware update but can't seem to find it and just times out. Anyone seeing the same problem? Anyone have a solution?
Update: Well I found a solution that works on my Dell computer. The solution is one that I saw posted as a solution to this problem, in several places, but I discounted because it seemed like it was too much to do to get a firmware update to work. There had to be something easier. My computer has 2 slots for SSDs. It came with a 1TB SSD in one slot and I put my 990 PRO 2TB in the other slot. The posted solution that worked for me was to swap the SSDs (put the 990 in slot0?). I swapped the SSDs, started up and Samsung Magician installed the firmware cleanly, without changing anything else. Took less than 5 minutes (use proper anti static mat and wrist strap).
Not sure whose problem this is but it sure is a problem. It may also be an interaction between Samsung and whatever your device is (Dell in my case). Somebody has to make this better. If your device has more than one SSD slots it may be worth trying. Worked for me. My problem is now SOLVED.
Today I was able to successfully update the FW of my two 1 TB 990 Pro in my Galaxy Book Ultra to the new Firmware version with the Samsung Magician software and without any problems. Samsung has obviously fixed the FW update, as can be read in the change log. Alternatively, you could also update the update with the ISO file. Here is the download.
Its all non logical problems with usb sticks. used 1Gb and onother 16Gb. Formated with windows both to FAT32. Didnt worked. Then formated 16gb stick with Rufus, selected non bootable, mbr, fat32. Then deleted autorun files from stick and added update file. And voila...update started. Hope will help
I have the same problem :(. I only have a different model number: LC49G95TSSUXEN
I'm close to send this product back as the text are very blurry compared to my main laptop view. I hope to get that sorted with the firmware update.
Do you also have this issue?
Im not sure if you figured it out yet, but I did have a similar issue. I tried eveything you did with 2 different thumb drives, then gave up for a bit. I tried taking another crack at it. I tried a third thumb drive for the heck of it and it worked. I tried the other ones I had tried previously used to see if something changed or if I did something wrong. Nope, it was just an incompatibility with those thumb drives appearently. The one that worked was a Kingston Data Travler 16Gb. I dont think the capacity was the issue, but I dont know why that one works. So just in case youre still dealing with that.
I've noticed there's a language display bug with this washing machine. When the AI cycle finishes - the finishing message is "AI recommneded cycle complete".
Will Samsung correct this at some point and update the firmware automatically (seeing it is web connected) or does this washing machine just not support remote firmware updates?
Already looked at that a while ago - there's no firmware update option for the washer in there. Just some advanced settings/manual etc.
My guess is that it can't be updated without a service visit (and maybe replacement of a board), but wondering if there is any other way.
Some of the more advanced washing machines have an upgrade firmware setting in the control settings, but this also doesn't appear that I can see on this washing machine.
ww90T534DAW here and no firmware update on the phone app
or in the washing machine menu which is a shame because I would not only like a correction of that spelling but also a way to turn off all sounds of the machine (the beeps when you turn dial etc not just the end of cycle jingle tune) plus I would like at the end of wash cycle to stay on machine for at least 5-10 minutes after cycle has stopped 'Cycle Ended' in the display window instead of going straight off immediately, and in that 5-10 mins tumble drum slowly every now and again to avoid creases (I know you can do that with the wireless button to the right of the display window, but you have to keep pressing it on every wash it becomes tedious)
looking at the back of the electronic fascia on the front of the machine it does indeed look like the engineer would have to come out and install/flash new firmware/software - look at the 'Download' connector on the main board:
Appreciate the topic is over a year old now but I was poking around the net looking for WM upgrade details and stumbled on this topic, Smartthings does show an upgrade option for compatible washing machines but you need to look in the Smartthings app > life section > Home care plug in, if you scroll down you might see the panel to upgrade the machine
The problem began when I discovered that the ESPN app can't play videos. No matter what video the stream makes it a few seconds and then only buffers. I have tried every suggestion online and by support to make this app work. Nothing works. My internet is excellent, all other apps. Alas this post isn't about the ESPN app not working.
In my conversations with support I was directed to update my firmware. My current firmware is version 2101. If I go to settings and check for updates, it says my TV is update to date. Samsung support tells me that is not the case. They directed to me a firmware folder and told me to update via USB. Here is the link to update via USB "HAD TO REMOVE LINK"
My first problem, there are two different firmware folders. Why? Which one is correct? If you download the larger file there are 3 folders and 1 file inside the zip. The USB directions give no indications on how to handle this. The each folder has 2 files with the same names. You can't copy all of the files from the zip folder into the USB contrary to the USB directions and customer supports insistence. Which files do I copy? So I download the smaller firmware zip from the link. I copy all of the files in that zip to my USB. I plug the USB into my TV. I turn the TV on. The TV recognizes the USB. I go to settings and update, the TV asks if I want to update from the USB. I confirm. The TV then tells me the TV has the most up to date firmware. I inquire with support. They then link me the steps to updating via USB.
After downloading either the Windows .iso or the Mac .iso with the update from Samsung ( _SSD_Firmware), you can run the magician binary on your linux machine by setting up mount points and extracting as described here:
(I did take the small precaution of quitting all open desktop applications, but I stayed in the MATE graphic environment. I also diverged from the instructions by not creating my directories in /tmp, which shouldn't--and didn't--matter, and I used different names for some of the directories.)
I should mention that although these instructions come from a Gentoo Linux resource, they seem to be quite distro-independent. For the record I used Ubuntu MATE 22.04 running on a Mac Pro (early 2009) with the EVO 850 physicaly on an adapter in the first drive bay.
There seems to be a consensus out there that the only reliable way to update firmware on an EVO-series SSD is to reformat it to NTFS and run the Magician software on Windows. That is apparantly not so, at least not in the case of the now-venerable EV0 850.
the latest firmware update (R890XXU1EVA8) breaks the Always On Display functionality. It is only updated very rarely (15-20 minutes). I saw this is already discussed in the watch face studio section. But it not only affects watch face. Also apps using ambient mode freeze. For example, my favorite training app Seven ( =se.perigee.android.seven&hl=de&gl=US). It count downs the seconds to exercise when in ambient mode. Now it stops after a few seconds and does not continue.
