I have Windows Live Mail installed on my old pc, which is not possible to install on my new pc so I have installed eMClient onto my new pc. I am not able to properly import my emails and folders from WLM from the old pc onto eM Client on the new pc. I am able to receive emails and I have all previous received emails downloaded into eM Client but only a few of the sent box items. I exported my Contacts from WLM to an eml file and was able to import this into eM Client, however the Contacts folder does not include email addresses. I cannot see how to import the list of email addresses form WLM so that and email address can be selected when creating a new message. The Contact folder in WLM is not the same as the list of email addresses. Also I cannot see how to import the folders from WLM. Any help would be much appreciated. I have read through several previous posts on the subjec but nothing works.

I have successfully installed eM Client onto my old pc and the setup process imported all my contacts and storage folders from WLM, and past emails are correctly located in their respective folders. When installing, emClient recognized that WLM was already installed and I was able to select this and everything was set up automatically.
However I wish to import this onto my new pc. When setting up the import process, eM Client only recognised Outlook was installed on the new pc. I do not use this and do not have emails set up on Outlook. There is no option to select WLM. How do I get eM Client from my old pc onto my new pc?

I've just migrated to windows live mail from Outlook express. My mcafee product is not working with windows live mail there's no Mcafee toolbar and quickclean doesn't erase the deleted emails. Is this going to be sorted out by the powers that be at Mcafee? or is it just my settings? Had no trouble with Mcafee when I was running outlook express. I am assuming this will get sorted as more people start using Windows Live Mail.

I believe that Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, and Thunderbird are the only email programs currently compatible with McAfee. Someone higher up will be able to give more information on this issue. You could contact Technical Support Chat and ask them. They are available 24 hours a day and doesn't cost anything to chat.

If you installed McAee while Windows Live Mail (or any other mail client) was active then it would fail to install the toolbar. In that case uninstall Anti-Spam only by clicking the McAfee SecurityCenter item in Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a Program, using the custom method uninstall only that portion.

We were told that for any non-SSL POP3 email client not listed as compatible with the Anti-Spam Toolbar emails should still be marked as "Spam" in the Inbox. It's then a simple matter to make a rule to filter that email into another manually created folder of choice.

My antispam is part of my security centre 10 download. I have uninstalled security centre 10 and done a complete Mcafee reinstall of security centre 10 and there is still no antispam tool bar showing with Windows live mail. Window's live mail isn't shown in the protection options. Will this be sorted out or am I doing something wrong? Outlook express is now out of date and not supported by Microsoft, Windows live mail is now the prime programme for pop email. Sorry if this is the wrong section.

Hi. For the last 20 days I have been unable to send emails from my Windows 10 Live mail on my PC. The 'sent' emails are stuck in my Outbox folder, and the only thing working on that is 'delete'. I have tried to 'move to junk folder', but I get a 'blocked sender' popup. So I am blocked from sending from my own email account. I am the only one affected by this - the other Windows 10 Live mail accounts are working just fine.

I have tried turning off the Norton VPN - makes no difference. I have tried adding my own email address to the list of sites etc to be excepted from blocking - makes no difference. I don't know what else to try.

If you want to check if the firewall is interfering, right click on the Norton icon in the system tray and click on Disable Smart Firewall. Then test your email. If you still have the issue it is not the Norton firewall causing the issue. Be sure to turn the firewall on again after your test.

I tried to install Outlook but it just does not install on my PC. I do have an Outlook email account - an insidious thing that is impossible to remove from your Microsoft account after setting it up. You can only delete the whole Microsoft account, thus losing other Microsoft aps that you might want and use.

I use windows live mail. Sometimes I get attachments inWord, Excel, etc. If I open the document from mail, and hit "save" I can notfind out where it saves. It does not save in any temp file that I can see.

I was wondering if it's possible to get Evolution Mail in Ubuntu to be able to import a Windows Live Mail email account export, I have multiple email accounts and lots of email messages attached to each account and and being able to import them all into Evolution would be nice. Is there a way to do this?

We have received yet another complaint today about our emails not working in Windows Live Mail. Is there really nothing that can be done to deal with the underlying problem? Despite lack of support from MS, Windows Live Mail, like Outlook Express before it, isn't going to disappear any time soon, and it's much more recent an app than, say, Windows XP where LE didn't work either when first released.

I don't know much about CRL, but is there maybe some way to make a bridge back from OCSP data to CRL, enough to make the obsolete Live mail program work even if revocation isn't possible there, or some way we might be able to patch Live Mail. Might an approach to Microsoft be helpful?

It happened to Mailbox, Turnpike, Microsoft Entourage, and even Windows Live Mail. If you enjoyed this email client and need a replacement for Windows Live Mail, we have prepared a list of the best alternatives, starting with an award-winning contender.

Mailbird offers a unified inbox that enables viewing of all your emails across multiple accounts in one place. You can also seamlessly check all your email addresses separately by switching between them in just one click.

The Contact Manager feature in Mailbird will smoothly and speedily import all your contacts, reducing the time and effort involved in doing this one by one. Then, in the Contacts app, you can add profile pictures to better distinguish incoming emails.

The Outlook email client is one of the productivity tools Microsoft offers as part of their Microsoft 365 subscription. Apart from the paid option, Outlook is also available for free as a web version. However, it doesn't let you manage multiple email accounts.

You can decide to use Microsoft Outlook as a Windows Live Mail alternative because it offers a lot of productivity features, starting with calendar sharing and finishing with email recall. But most of its features are difficult to find in Outlook's cluttered interface.

Thunderbird is a free email client for Windows that lets you add unlimited accounts and manage them from one inbox. Thunderbird is an open-source project supported by its community - there is no team behind it. Why is it a good replacement for Windows Live Mail? Let's see.

Postbox offers a range of productivity features; its interface is clean and intuitive. But you have to pay $79 upfront, as Postbox doesn't offer a monthly subscription. Other email clients charge a few bucks monthly, which makes a huge difference.

In our pursuit to determine the best email clients in the market, we meticulously implemented a thorough testing process. This involved setting up accounts with each email client, whether as a standalone software platform or as a cloud-based service. Our aim was to explore the capabilities of each platform in various scenarios, putting their functionalities to the test in order to assess their overall performance.

We carefully evaluated the basic tools and functionality of each email client, and then explored its advanced features to determine their ease of use and accessibility. This comprehensive approach enabled us to provide an in-depth evaluation of each email client's strengths, weaknesses, and suitability for different use cases.

Perfect. That'll ensure Thunderbird keeps on working so long as Mozilla carry on supporting the product. Thunderbird has an embedded set of TLS 1.2 ciphers so that means you'll be able to use secure mail.

Opting for an insecure mail connection is not a wise move. TalkTalk do not support insecure mail connections because user passwords can be discovered if mail is intercepted. The result will be that TalkTalk will detect the use of an insecure connection and if you continue to use WLM your mailbox will be limited to webmail only access. So, when that happens your connection using Thunderbird will then also cease working.

I see you signed out of Community shortly after posting about the use of Windows Live Mail (WLM). I therefore assume you have now replaced WLM with some supported software solution or are just using TalkTalk Mail's webmail option.

Use a supported Operating System like Windows 10 as a minimum and either the packaged Windows Mail product or a third party product like Thunderbird, BlueMail or TypeApp (other supported email apps are available)

For many users of the popular email client, Windows Live Mail, the question of where their email messages are stored might seem like a mysterious enigma. Understanding the storage location of your email messages is essential for various reasons, such as creating backups, transferring data to a new device, or troubleshooting issues.

Upon reaching the "Windows Live Mail" folder, you will encounter a variety of files with different extensions. These files collectively make up the structure of the Data Store and house your email data in various formats. Understanding the Data Store structure can provide insight into the organization of your messages and simplify the process of extracting or backing up specific emails.
