Two separate ERA programs have been established: the ERA1 program was authorized by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 and provided $25 billion to assist eligible households with financial assistance and housing stability services. The ERA2 program was authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and provides $21.55 billion to assist eligible households with financial assistance, provide housing stability services, and as applicable, to cover the costs for other affordable rental housing and eviction prevention activities. ERA funds are provided directly to states, U.S. territories, local governments, and, in the case of ERA1, Indian Tribes or their Tribally Designated Housing Entities.

Landlords who would like to rent to voucher holders should contact their local public housing agency (PHA) regarding the current or upcoming vacancy. The PHA may maintain a list of available units in the area. The PHA may also be aware of locally used websites or platforms for advertising available rental units. Landlords may also consider indicating when advertising when they welcome voucher holders.

The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) and the U.S. Treasury will not text or call you without prior contact and ask for your personal information. Only apply for rental assistance at era.azdes.gov or 1 (833) 912-0878. DES may contact you by phone only after you have submitted an application if more information is needed.

Applicants can apply for rental assistance online via computer or mobile device at Housing Stability and Utility Assistance Programs website, or by visiting a local Community Action Agency to receive Community Navigator assistance in completing an application. Applicants who are unable to apply online or through a Community Navigator, and require an accommodation, may apply by phone at 1 (833) 912-0878 or by mail using a paper application:

Applicants interested in rental assistance will need to provide a copy of the lease/rental agreement, proof of identity (photo ID), proof of income, direct deposit bank information, proof of housing instability (eviction notice or past due rent notice) and proof of employment, support, or completion of educational, vocational, or job training program for a household member. Failure to provide the required documentation may delay eligibility determination, and could result in an application denial.

Individuals or landlords who suspect fraud or believe they may have been a victim of identity theft used to file a fraudulent application for rental assistance can submit a fraud report online to DES or contact the fraud hotline at 1 (800) 251-2436 or (602) 542-9449. When reporting potential fraud, please be prepared to provide identifying information that will help locate the application in our systems.

The New York State Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) will provide significant economic relief to help low and moderate-income households at risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability by providing rental arrears, temporary rental assistance and utility arrears assistance.

Certain communities that received funding for emergency rental assistance directly from the federal government opted to administer their own programs. Residents, with income up to 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI), of the towns of Hempstead, Islip and Oyster Bay are not eligible for assistance from the state-administered program and should apply with their local programs for emergency rental assistance.

The property owner or an authorized property management company will be required to sign the application form and associated certifications agreeing that the information provided, including the amount of rental arrears owed, is accurate and does not duplicate a payment received from another program.

Offer of one day free of the daily time and mileage charges on an intermediate (group C) through a full-size four-door (group E) car. Taxes, concession recovery fee, customer facility charges ($10/contract in CA) and fuel charges are extra. Optional items such as LDW and other surcharges may apply and are extra. Offer valid on minimum three-day rental. The renter is responsible for any additional time and mileage charges over one day. Coupon cannot be used for one-way rentals. One coupon per rental. Offer may not be used in conjunction with any other coupon, promotion or offer. Coupon valid at Budget locations in contiguous U.S. (excluding the New York Metro area). Holiday and other blackout periods may apply. If a rental begins during a blackout period, the whole rental is blacked out and doesn't qualify for use of coupon. An advance reservation is required. Customer must provide profile number associated with the coupon. Reservation must be cancelled by rental date, or coupon will be used. Offer subject to vehicle availability at time of reservation and may not be availabe on some rates at some times. For reservations made on Budget.com, free day will be applied at the time of rental. Budget reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions and use of coupons. Budget reserves the right to refuse or expire coupons at any time without prior notification. Coupons cannot be applied to completed rentals. Renter must meet Budget age, driver and credit requirements. Minimum age may vary by location. An additional daily surcharge may apply for renters under 25 years old. Rental must begin on or before 12/31/23.
