Role(s)

Hi All,

Just wondering if Role may be too specific by saying that it's specific
to a User

for instance in a project I'm working on, Organisation(s) have roles
too; if Role was a bit looser to be a Role between two resources, and
UserRole created as a subclass of Role, then people like me could
subclass Role to fit all needs.

Thoughts?

Hi,

Are you talking about roles in the context of online communities (for access control, etc.) or more generally (e.g the role that one can play in a business context, etc.) ?

If that concerns the second case, I've recently worked on a role ontology that should be properly published soon (hopefully next week), I guess it can fits your needs.
I'll tell you when it's online.
