Coverage shown may include roaming coverage by partner networks. When you travel outside of T-Mobile's network areas, your phone automatically switches to use one of our wireless network partners when coverage is available, you have data roaming enabled, and you have roaming data remaining. Speeds and connections may vary. Most plans allow data roaming. See details.

My Carplay screen is below eye level so I do not want to look down at it to view the map for directions. I want the visual map (not the textual directions) to show up on my phone screen which is on a phone mount right by my eyeline which prevents me from taking my eye off the road and is much more safe.

It is just me or is that not an option to show the map on the phone screen? It seems baffling to me that such an oversight could happen from Google and Apple. Nobody wants to see the MapQuest like direction list on their phones during Carplay...people want to see the Map!

So far I have used both for navigation via google maps....CarPlay works great. Android Auto works great, until the phone screen turns off- then it works for about 10 seconds, the cursor gets stuck in place and it says "Looking for GPS signal..." As soon as you unlock the phone screen it jumps to where it is supposed to be and works fine.

Recently I noticed that the 'Send to phone' option in Google Maps no longer displays my cell phone as an option. It only shows my email. I checked on my phone and I am signed in to the Google Maps app, my phone number is listed in my Google account settings and I have notifications enabled in the app.

This may be a stupid question, but here it goes. Is Google Maps a standard (and pre-installed) application on every android phone? I am writing a map application and using a mapview to plot several points near a given zip code. I got that working. If Google maps is pre-installed on every phone, then i can just theoretically send Google maps my two points and it will take care of the rest, correct? Or will i have to go old school and program all driving directions myself?

Having said all that, I would expect the vast majority of Android devices DO include what you need. If you need to target Android phones without the Google code on them, I suggest you buy one - as they're usually crap they're usually cheap!

Replace paper processes and disparate tools to bring efficiency to mobile work with a single app that can be configured for the specific workflows of your mobile workforce. Mobile workers have the preconfigured field maps and forms they need on their mobile devices to efficiently and accurately complete their work.

ArcGIS Field Maps provides mobile workers with secure, 24/7 access to your organization's ArcGIS maps on their mobile devices, ensuring they have the most current information. Workers can easily locate assets and data and even add markups and notes to document and share findings with others. Maps are dynamic even in disconnected environments.

I recently went on a run with my Watch4 using Samsung health to track my data. At the end Samsung Health app on my watch showed all my data including a map. When I went to look on my phone using Samsung Health app it showed all my data but the map. I also went through previous works outs that displayed the map on my phone and those have disappeared but still show on my watch.

One app, every park at your fingertips. The NPS App is the new official app for the National Park Service with tools to explore more than 400 national parks nationwide. Find interactive maps, tours of park places, on-the-ground accessibility information, and much more to plan your national park adventures before and during your trip.

The free app is currently available for iOS and Android devices.

Yes answering a phone call does stop (annoyingly) Maps running picture in picture, but it doesnt stop Maps navigating in the background and is still very easy to pop back up while in a call using the recent apps button.

I hate this too. I'm in the states, so not 100% sure if this will work across the pond or not. I have found out that if I rotate my phone back to portrait before answering it will show both at the same time. Yes, its frustrating however it is a work around. Maps is odd looking in portrait viewing, however you can still see your directions.

However, when we display it in smartphone (android version 9, chrome), it only shows a button to collect current location. Search window was also disappeared (this is important for respondents to easily get the desired location).

My wife and I were out hiking last weekend and at one point, we were confused with the signs and ended up taking the wrong direction of the track, which meant we were walking back rather than finishing the trail (which was a loop - we were at the southernmost point so both directions were heading north). My phone's GPS didn't help me as it had problems determining our position - all it did was telling us which direction we were heading, which I knew anyway.

So I started to research outdoor watches with built in GPS/Glonass/etc, assuming they would be more reliable in the wild outdoors. I stumbled over the Fenix 6, which seems gorgeous - but it's prohibitively expensive. And besides, while the map on the watch is probably as good as it gets on a watch, it still tiny compared to a map on a 6" screen smartphone. I also looked at the Instinct Solar, which is very compelling for its durability and battery life. While it has navigation, the map is obviously quite useless from the screen itself. It's really just a little black line plotting how you've hiked so far, with no other context.

Which leads to my question: when you're in an activity and the watch is connected to your phone, is it possible to see where you are on the map using the watch's location data? I read about LiveTrack, but my understanding is that that's for *other* people to follow my progress. Is there an easy way to "follow yourself" in a similar manner, using bluetooth (i.e. independently of a steady internet connection), so you can quickly pull up your phone to get a more detailed map and track of your hike when you need it?

I used to use my old Phone for navigation with Google Maps. This is not working with f4. Navigation starts but then the speaker, who tells the directions, stops. When I stop, and look at the phone, the position is mostly correct, sometimes it needs some time for actualisation. This is useless in a car or a bike.

You can view MyMaps in three ways:
1) In a web browser on a laptop or desktop (do this by following the link we provide in our confirmation email when you signed up for map access).
2) Within its own MyMaps app on smartphones (this requires downloading the app).
3) Within Google Maps on smartphone. If you already use Google Maps on your phone, take a look at the following steps.

The GIS Department provides maps, data and geo-spatial analysis services to city departments and the public. The department develops and maintains a centralized GIS database accessible by server, desktop, and web-based applications and coordinates with federal, state, and local agencies in sharing and developing data.

To use a web map in an offline application, you need to download an offline map from the web map. The application can either download a geographic area that the web map's owner has already configured, or specify a custom area of the web map. Offline maps are typically used in applications that have an occasional network connection.

The PDF Maps Mobile App, developed by Avenza Systems Inc., is available as a free download from iTunes and the Android Play Store. The app provides access to Forest Service maps, such as motor-vehicle-use maps, which are free while pages from national forest atlases are 99 cents and forest visitor maps are $4.99. Prices are pending for other agency maps.

Through the app, users can purchase and download professionally created maps that are stored on their devices. They can use the maps based on their location when GPS is available. The maps also will allow users to measure distance and area, find coordinates, open a current view in Google maps, plot place marks, add notes, enter their own data and add photos as attributes. Almost 700 Forest Service maps are available through the app.

To be specific, I will be interviewing multiple people at one location but I need to enter their place of residence using the GPS function. The ODK phone app only allows me to select my current location and there is no option to search and save another location.

The Google Fi Wireless network also extends to 200+ countries and territories. Additionally, for supported Pixel and Samsung phones, 5G coverage is available in select countries and territories.

On Fi, you'll get built-in privacy for your online activity. All phones on Fi get access to a VPN for a private online connection. When enabled, it encrypts your online activity when you use cellular data and Wi-Fi.

Currently, Fi provides international 5G roaming in the following countries and territories for supported Pixel and Samsung phones: Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and United Kingdom.
