Wehave a couple people who don't have Smart Phones and need to use MFA. We don't want to use a simple Text Message if we can and prefer to use something a bit more secure. I found there is an Authenticator App for Windows 10 but it doesn't seem to work with O365 accounts.

Are there any sort of keyfob dongle or USB dongle thing that work with Office 365 that we can get for people who don't have smartphones? I've used the kind where the number on the fob changes every minute just like an authenticator app would but that was many years ago.

Hi @VasilMichev , I have a customer with a similar situation wherein they would like to use UB keys , but they dont have an option to leverage that option at the time of configuration, wherein it still prompts the user to use the authenticator app .

Come on Microsoft, my client is blind and uses voice for everything. Please why cram authenticators down everyone's throat? I understand the importance of two factor.

PLEASE ALLOW SKIPPING TO A PHONE CALL, TEXT, ALT EMAIL or SECRET PASSWORD like app password to allow passage through the Monty Python MFA Troll Bridge.

The poor guy CANNOT SEE the Q-Code, much less enter the numbers if sent to an app. He can HEAR the codes if we can set it up for a phone call, or hear his alternate email when the PC or phone reads it to him. I can turn off MFA in Azure, but rather not.

The Deepnet hardware token link ;you provided does include tokens that can be used with office 365 and azure, but the following link only contains tokens suitable for these applications;

-time-password/safeid/hardware-mfa-tokens-office-365-a...

(The other link included a HOTP token that cannot be used, and the above link also provides Microsoft licensing information).

Replication:

Unlock iPhone, hold NFC tag to top back of phone (without case or other magnetic or metallic materials nearby). Default iOS behaviour should be to read the contents of a known working tag (works perfectly on an Android device) and display a popup to manage the tag information (e.g. Popup would ask permission to open Safari to open a web link programmed on a tag)

3rd Party Tools: Previous versions of iOS 15 beta allowed read and write of NFC tags using apps such as NFC and NFC Tools. I have used "normal" mode, compatibility mode, have attempted to (re)format the tag to no avail. When conducting a read or write using these tools a popup appears, but no tag can be read or written. "Ready to Scan" popup remains open.

the same for me. don't work with nfc readers apps. If you try to use with the quick commands app and select NFC tag for action it read regular the tag and make the action. please help me because i use it for work.

I have the same problem. iPhone 13 mini. NFC is completely dead.Apple Pay on web is working fine. On physical terminals the phone does not recognise card reader nor is able to recognise any NFC tag. What is worse - we have tried another 3 iPhones with the same IOS version and everything is fine so not sure what is the pattern here.I was communicating this to apple support and they run diagnostic - no problem found. No workaround like resets are working.

It just happened to me since a week agoand found this discussion here and did what been told here and the nfc still not working on my iphone 12.tried reboot several times and still not working.Tried to remember what i did before the nfc not wroking and then i remebered that week ago i activated the air drop to transfer some pucture to my friend, so it still active then i disable it.. and finally.. the nfc is working like before ?? glad to find it. Then i tried to activate the air drop again.. and the nfc still active. Is it a bug ?

Same issue here too.I thought it is coming from the new iPhone case I'm using.I called Apple service and after the troubleshoot, they said everything is fine and requested a physical check on the phone (which was not achievable for me).however I noticed it's not working even without the case as well.If you remove the case, won't make any changeI was thinking the case has cause permanent damage to my phone's NFC reader.

The fix for me (iPhone 12, iOS 15.6) was to go into Settings -> General -> AirDrop and change the setting from Contacts Only to Everyone. After that, scanning of NFC tags worked again. Switched the setting back to Contacts Only and tried scanning the NFC tag again and it still worked. I assume this is a bug.

The same thing happened to my iPhone SE2020 on iOS16.0.3. Previously, it could read NFC but from some time it became unavailable. I have made NW setting reset, which was no effect. I solicit the solution.

I'm currently working on a workflow to resolve some missing Secure Tokens for users at a client site. Because I don't want to test on production machines, I've got a machine here that I've enrolled in my own Jamf tenant to test against. My issue? I can't REMOVE Secure Token from one of the test users on this machine so I can test the script.

HA! Ok. I've have varying success with what you posted above in the past, yet Ive had great success using the interactive commands with it. Rich does a great job in the mini videos showing how to enable it, just need to substitute the syntax, as long as you are in the account you want to keep ST on you should be able to complete it.

If you're looking to create test accounts that don't have a secure token the quickest way to accomplish that is to create a policy in jamf with the local accounts payload and put in whatever information you were looking for. I was testing something else around secure tokens and i learned that these accounts when created and deployed won't have a secure token until you attempt to login with them.

I put a fetlock band on my horse a year ago in preparation for hurricane Dorian. I am impressed with how well it is holding up. The number can still be read easily and it is as secure as the first day I put it on.

Love my fetlock bands. I never go anywhere without them. I measured my mini and sent in my measurements and you sent me the fetlock band and it fits her perfectly. ?

I would love to send you a photo but your website does not allow that option.
