Dear Klaus,

Thank you for you email.

The output file extension is determined by the preset.
In the current version of Sinthgunt, it can not be specified manually
by the user.
Look for the tag "<extension>", in the file /usr/share/sinthgunt/presets.xml

The output dir is always the same as the output dir. If you convert from, say
avi to mpg, you go from
/home/foo/video.avi
to
/home/foo/video.avi.mpg

Implementing a "choose output directory" feature should be quite easy.
I suggest that you submit a feature request at

http://code.google.com/p/sinthgunt/issues/entry

or, even better, submit a patch to the mailing list sint...@googlegroups.com

Best regards,
Kaare Hartvig Jensen

Dear Klaus,

Unfortunately I do not know how to generate

Perhaps you should try PAL DVD Fullscreen?
Go to Presets -> DVD -> PAL DVD Fullscreen.

Maybe someone else on the sinthgunt mailing list
knows?

Best regards,
Kaare
