Hi All,

I have recently started using MRST and due to unavailibility of MatLab I'm running the same in Octave. Although I had been able to load and run some of the tutorials but have been facing lot of issues while adding GUI or the datasets path. Is there any detailed help section or material on how to use with Octave,

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,

I am also struggling with this thing. I read in latest release notes that significant improvement has been done for integration with Octave. I believe there is a module "Octave" that needs to be added in for working. On trying to add that I am getting following error;

"No module mapping found for
* octave"

Can someone please help me with resolving this issue?

Regards

Hi,

There is no more need for the octave module. Here's the relevant bit of the release notes:
The Octave compatibility of MRST has been significantly improved. This includes OCT file support for MEX-accelerated automatic differentiation and full support compiled linear solvers. There is no need to load the octave module anymore and key AD solvers have been verified to run on the latest Octave 6.2 with performance that is close to that of the Matlab version. Altogether, this should make Octave much more viable for running simulations with MRST. There are still several limitations due to functionality being missing from Octave. If you use Octave with MRST and find solutions to such issues, please let us know.

Hopefully, this clears things up!

Best regards,
Olav
