Hi everyone,

I'm working on a flow simulation and would like to implement a boundary condition that allows fluid to leave the model domain through a specified boundary, mimicking the effect of outflow into a nearby aquifer.

What I want to implement is a pressure-dependent flux at the boundary. I couldn't find anything like that in the examples.

In addition to applying this kind of boundary condition, I would like to measure how much fluid leaves the system over time, ideally by integrating the flux through the boundary.

My questions:

  • Is there a recommended way in MRST to implement this kind of sink term or boundary flux?

  • Are there existing tools/utilities in MRST that would help track and postprocess the total mass or volume flux through a boundary?

Any guidance, examples, or code snippets would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,
Jose
