installing MRST

Hello all,

I am new to MRST and trying to install MRST now.

After I installed MATLAB 2024, I clicked startup of MRST 2024. However I got this message ' This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Setting page.'

Please guide me to proceed. :-)

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in MRST.  Please be aware that MRST is a "toolbox", not an "app".  As such, MRST depends on an external execution environment—typically MATLAB from The MathWorks or the open-source alternative "Octave" (https://octave.org/) as a platform.  Please refer to the MRST list  of frequently asked questions (https://www.sintef.no/projectweb/mrst/faq/) for details on downloading, installing, and running MRST.
