You can change the fonts and the colors in Visual Studio in several ways. For example, you can change the default dark theme (also referred to as "dark mode") to a light theme, a blue theme, an extra-contrast theme, or a theme that matches your system settings. You can make various changes to the code editor to suit your programming language of choice. For example, you can change brace formatting in C# to appear inline or on a new line, and more. To learn how to customize the code editor, see Set language-specific editor options.
The new Cascadia Code font includes Cascade Mono, which is the default font in Visual Studio 2022. Not only are both of these fonts easier to read, but the Cascadia Code font also includes coding ligatures that turn a sequence of characters into a glyph. Coding ligatures, or glyphs, make it easier for people to cognitively associate the meaning behind them.

Visual Studio also includes features to help people who have limited dexterity to write. For example, Visual Studio supports Dvorak keyboard layouts, which make the most frequently typed characters more accessible.
There are more ways to customize Visual Studio to be more accessible to you. For example, you can change the behavior of pop-up windows, text-based tool windows, toolbar buttons, margin indicators, and more.
The dialog boxes and menu commands you see might differ from those described here, which can vary depending on your active settings or edition. To change your settings, select Import and Export Settings on the Tools menu. For more information, see Reset settings.
Visual Studio displays pop-up windows in the editor. These pop-up windows include information that makes coding easier, such as parameters to complete a function or statement. The pop-up windows can also be helpful if you have difficulty typing. However, some users might find that they interfere with focus in the code editor, which can be problematic.
You can rearrange the windows in the integrated development environment (IDE) to best suit the way you work. You can dock, float, hide, or automatically hide each tool window. For more information about how to change window layouts, see Customize window layouts.
When you select [All Text Tool Windows] in the Show settings for drop-down list, the default setting is listed as Default in the Item foreground and Item background drop-down lists. Select the Custom button to change these settings.

you mentioned outsystems UI but also mentioned a version number that you have installed in windows. I suspect you are taking about a dark mode for service studio instead. Something similar to one we have for Visual studio and other IDEs ?
If that's the question. We don;t have anything available yet. But I have seen this posted in the ideas section quite a few times. So we can expect outsystems attention to this sometime soon. :)
Thanks for pointing that out Danil . It has been on the cards for a long time now. Hope they get it soon. I have personally found the visual studio dark IDE better when working for long hours at stretch. Plus people peeping into your screen feel you are working on something really complex because of all the color schemes :) :D
Developers have a thing for dark mode. When it comes to productivity, we purposefully dim and change the color scheme of our IDEs and code editors from the standard stark white to an inverted contrast. We do this, in part, to save our eyes from the glaring screen and decrease the potential strain.
Themes are switchable skins that let you configure the color scheme and font for your Visual Studio editor. The Marketplace currently has over 5,000 themes available and covers both Visual Studio 2019 and Visual Studio Code, each created to visually optimize how code is displayed. This is done through preconfigurations of how functions, modules, classes, and parts of code are colored.
A special feature of One Dark Pro is that the highlighting syntax supports markdown preview, which can come in handy for writing documentation. Markdown is not for everyone and being able to differentiate the different stylings can make life easier.
The MonokaiVS theme merges two popular themes to form one epic theme. One Monokai takes the best bits from One Dark theme and color principles from Monokai to visually optimize the code output on Visual Studio.
I'm sorry, but I'm old and my vision is declining. At some point, I switched to some kind of "dark mode" on the Jira website, but the effort has become very difficult and sometimes painful with eye strain headaches to see comfortably, as I have had to mess with the zoom and lean forward in my chair, and look away, and refocus, and... well, it's become quite a hassle and a constant reminder of my declining health.
I have looked over many resources, how-to's, and videos about how to change the theme back to the normal "light mode", but I'm unable to find anything that is helping me solve my problem. The closest thing I can find is in the Jira Settings >> System >> User Interface >> Look and Feel >> Navigation Colors >> Background, but this only changes the navigation bar at the top. I need a solution that will restore the original "light" theme of the background and text color.
Even if it weren't, like, "white on black" as a Dark Mode--the contrast is just too high! Maybe more like Visual Studio Code's light grey on dark grey would be easier on my eyes. Please let me know what I can do to figure this out, and I'm sorry for asking such a simple question.
I use this website for personal projects--not work--and it's very useful, but I just wish it were easier to read. I keep forgetting things, so Jira is great to help me remember important steps in my longer-term projects. Thank you for your time and patience!
Jira Cloud does not support dark mode. Which browser are you using, maybe it is a browser extension? Can you try a different browser as a quick test. Note that there is a Mac client for Jira that supports dark mode.
Hi all! It is said that Theia supports VSCode color themes and extensions. I have found the perfect color theme for my taste and downloaded it as a VSCode extension. Is there a way to install it in the Arduino IDE 2.0?
I just found that it's so much easier than I thought! All I needed to do was copy the extension VSIX file into the folder resources\app\plugins. After that, the theme was available under File - Preferences.
I didn't find time to play with it myself, but I have been intrigued by the idea that the VS Code/Eclipse Theia framework offered the possibility of a much larger selection of 3rd party themes compared to the maybe a dozen that had been created for Arduino IDE 1.x over the years.
I'm not much for themes myself, but I became interested in them when I noticed that most of the people asking about them here on the forum needed to modify the IDE for the sake of accessibility rather than for aesthetics. Since Arduino IDE 2.x comes with a selection of official themes out of the box, I'm not sure whether that trend will hold in this new era, but being able to customize the IDE is cool regardless.
