Hi all,
As expected, the holiday season has been a rough one for us. Holiday's, finals, sicknesses and parties have kept many people away. What wasn't expected is that we'd also be changing venues. Fortunately the new venue has stayed with us through it. Unfortunately they've done it at a huge loss. My loosing money is one thing, but when the venue looses money that's something else entirely.
SO... in addition to me wanting to see you (because I miss everyone), Swing Goth needs you over the holidays. Fat City is such a wonderful venue with such a terrific dance floor and I miss you, so I hope you can make it.
Make it when you ask? Well... we're open every Tuesday (in theory including the one before Christmas Eve, but if you're thinking about coming then don't hesitate to check - 415-260-7147), but what I'm really gunning for is the the day before New Years, December 30th.
The week leading up to New Years always busy for venues, and I've been promoting the You'll Dance (read Yule Dance and pardon the pun) since early November, so I'm hoping for a big turn out. You can help ensure it by spreading the word. How do you spread the word? Simple, RSVP, "yes" on Facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=53915245232 ) this week and suddenly all of your friends will know about it. OR, if you've got particular friends you think might be interested, feel free to invite them.
