Sinhala Unicode Installing Error with Win XP SP3

Hi All,

I formatted my hard and reinstalled windows XP and updated to SP3.
After that I tried to installed Sinhala Unicode. After the installation it tries to install Sinhala enabling pack and it fails saying that the update is not needed since my computer has a newer version.

So basically I can't view sinhala characters. Can someone help me out?

Ok so after some investigating I found out that Sinhala Unicode doesn't work with XP SP3.

In Kalinga's blog he has mentioned a installtion for SP3, but seems like that file is missing in siyabas.lk site.

Can someone point me to a place that I can find it?

I have install Sinhala - Tamil pack in our nac pcs ( www.nodes.lk )
It works fine. but it does not display SI in task bar. it shows
unknown language
but it works fine on Microsoft Office 2007. the error massage "update
is not needed since my computer has a newer version." shows because
it SP3 contains necessary software.

Hi,

I had the same problem after I updated to Service Pack 3. But then
managed to fix it by installing the SP3 beta from this location.

There is a patch for those who have installed SP 2 version of the
SinhalaTamil kit. But that patch didn't work for me. So I un-installed
the SP 2 version and installed the SP 3 version in full. Then I got
the Sinhala keyboard on the language bar and the unicode fonts as
well. The font rendering, however, is not as good as on SP 2.

ClearType දැනටමත් බලගැන්වී තිබෙනවා. ඒත් ගැටලුව විසඳී නැහැ.
