We are using report generation tool as BIRT( may be you have't familiar with the tool, it's report generation tool in java), It not included in Sinhala fonts, But it generates the report in Sinhala, When I try to export it in to pdf Sinhala font is not displaying as I expected, I asked  about that BIRT community and the told me to add the "encoding type" the font.xml in BIRT, so I want to know what is the encoding type of the Bashitha font,

Thank you for your response

Udeshika,
Cheers

It's a Unicode font. So, any Unicode friendly encoding should be fine. ( "UTF8" works for most cases). As you pointed out that you are using java, I have to say that java doesn't have better support for Sinhala Unicode rendering. As far as I know only Swing GUI kit has support for it. Let us know the out come. Best of luck!
