to singular optics
A topical issue of Journal of Optics A: Pure and Applied Optics
(Journal of Optics) will be devoted to papers reporting new and
challenging results in the field of Singular Optics. The issue is
scheduled for publication in mid 2009. Topics treated in the special
issue will include but are not limited to:

• Fundamentals of singular optics.
• Singular beams in free propagation.
• Generation of optical singularities.
• Broadband optical singularities.
• Fiber Singular Optics and optical singularities in crystals.
• Nonlinear singular optics.
• Dynamic singular optics.
• Singularities in partially coherent fields.
• Singular optics technique and metrology.
• Applications of singular optics.

The Guest Editors are:
- Mark Dennis, University of Bristol;
- Yuri Kivshar, Australian National University;
- Marat Soskin, Ukrain National Academy of Sciences;
- Grover Swartzlander, Arizon University;
- Alexander Volyar, Vernadsky Taurida National University:

It is our aim to attract the most active researchers in the field to
contribute to the topical issue, and to make it an important reference
point in the development of singular optics research. To raise the
visibility of this research field all papers will be made freely
available for 6 months through the journal’s website.
