Implementation of new decoding algorithms - GSoC 2013

Hi,

This is Praveen Kumar. I am pursuing a Master's in Applied Mathematics at IIT Roorkee, India. I am interested in working on implementing the new decoding algorithms as stated in the ideas page. I have significant development experience in Python as I participated in previous instances of GSoC and have used python in all of my academic projetcs. I have also studied the relevant courses like Linear Algebra, Cryptography, Number Theory, Numerical Mathematics etc and have used scientific packages like Sage, Numpy and Cython.

    I went through the source of Singular on Github and the Open Tasks. It would be a great help if you could guide me where to start from. I also want to know if any prior work has been done on this project.
