Hi,

I am Ankit Agrawal, a third year student enrolled in Dual Degree program(B. Tech + Masters) in EE with specialization in Communication and Signal Processing at IIT Bombay. I am interested in working on the idea 'Implementation of new Decoding Algorithms' for GSoC this year. I have taken courses in Linear Algebra, Digital Communication Systems, Probability and Random Processes. I have also taken courses relating to Applied Linear Algebra namely Machine Learning, Image Processing and Computer Vision. I am very much excited to work on this idea as I plan to have my Master's project in the same area during my next two years at university. Although I haven't used Sage before, I have used Sympy, a CAS written in Python, and have even contributed some patches to it. I would like to know from the mentors on how I should proceed on this idea. Till then, I will install Sage and will go through their Coding theory package. I will be usually available on IRC channel #lmnd with nick :: AnkitAgrawal between 2pm - 9m EDT. Thank you.

Ankit Agrawal.
