Zippy: The Movie is a 2026 American animated adventure comedy film based on the Disney Channel animated television series Zippy and produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the 63rd Disney animated feature film. Written and directed by series creators Brandon Greene and Kyla Greene, it features the series' regular voice cast consisting of Michaela Dietz, Greg Cipes, Laura Marano, Dove Cameron, Ross Lynch, Calum Worthy, Kari Wahlgren, and Mark Hamill with guest voices of Will Ferrell, Alec Baldwin, Demi Lovato, Kristen Bell, Ed Sheeran, and Jane Lynch as new characters. It is the first film in the Zippy: The Movie film series. In this film, Zippy finds one of the five Star Crystals that fell from the sky. When all five are gathered together can grant one wish. But then What's-It's-Face gets it and uses its power to rule Ziptown and enslave everyone in it. With the help from two teenage girls named Vanessa and her friend Gabi, Zippy and his friends must travel to Manhattan to find the other four Star Crystals and save the world from What's-It's-Face's rule.
Disney Animation accepted an offer for a film adaptation of Zippy from Brandon Greene in 2024. Brandon and Kyla assembled a team from the show's writing staff, including Cameron Perez, Jake Zubrod, Daniel Wresch, and Julia Vickerman. The film was originally intended to serve as the series finale, but Disney ordered more episodes of the series as it had become increasingly profitable, so Kyla resigned as co-showrunner, with her brother would remain as showrunner, but won't be here too often while making his own movies.
One night, five shining objects in the sky fall all across the world. One falls near a cave in Ziptown. The next day after school, Zippy and Wet Willy try to blow the biggest bubble that could last. Zippy blows a bubble so big that it engulfs them both and carries them into a nearby cave. The bubble suddenly pops as it makes an impact with the shining object that fell from the sky last night.
Eager to discover what exactly it is, they decide to take it to the Burger Shack at the Zip Central Mall, where they explain to their friends about what they found. At first, Zack thinks that Zippy and Willy were planning to steal the Star Crystal, which is housed in the Shack, but upon attempting to return it to its spot, he realizes that what they had was, in fact, another Star Crystal which all five crystals put together can grant one wish. Suddenly, Hazel, Von Papperoth, and Freddy Bear in a ice cream truck drove by, sending out invitations to a feast at What's-It's-Face's Funhouse to apologize for his wicked behavior. Meanwhile, the twins Jack and Mack get invitations as well and they decide to head to What's-It's-Face's Dinner Party. Meanwhile, as Flambo walks Ember on her stroller, he finds an auto-scan replication device which he uses to scan and replicate all of Whiskers' evil inventions with a note attached to it that says that he and Ember are recruited by the SDI (Super Detective Investigation) Agency and that detective Chihuahua Pepe will be joining them on their mission.
Curious and skeptical, the crew sets off for the funhouse, but upon their arrival, they find it was a trick as What's-It's-Face and his henchmen trap Zippy and his friends in a cage when they enter. With the group trapped, What's-It's-Face takes the crystal and he and the others head to the Burger Shack to steal the other one. Displeased by the outcome, the gang escaped and head off to the mall. Open their arrival, What's-It's-Face and his goons attack the Burger Shack in an attempt to steal the other Star Crystal. After a battle involving giant foods and condiments, What-It's-Face attempts to steal the star crystal, but Zippy tries to stop him. While Zippy and What's-It's-Face fight over the Star Crystal, Hazel steals the Zip Burger secret formula and sells it to the Sugar Rush Candy Company in Manhattan.
Cody, roller skating out of control, accidentally swipes the Star Crystal leading to a chase around the mall and Ziptown. The crystal falls into the sewer. Without the secret formula, Zip Burgers cannot be made, causing customers to become ravenous. What's-It's-Face, realizing that the Star Crystals could grant a wish once put together decides to find them. Zippy and Wet Willy propose teaming up with their friends to find the the Star Crystals. Flambo and Ember crash into Dr. Whiskers' lab but are trapped. While Floppy and Baby Butch leave the lair, they assist Whiskers in repairing his new invention the Power-Consuming Staff. Buddy and Beatrice see them and helps them to escape and head to Manhattan.
Zippy and Wet Willy head off down to the sewers to find the star crystal, only to find a super plane to fly around the world to find the Star Crystals. What's-It's-Face finds out about this and goes after the duo. What's-It's-Face and his goons hijack the plane and kicked both Zippy and Willy off, leaving them stranded in the middle of the forest. Zippy and Willy try to find the stolen plane, but found a subway station instead which leads to Manhattan, New York City. Upon their arrival in Manhattan, they decide to head around the town to find the other Star Crystals and settle the score with What's-It's-Face. Meanwhile, What's-It's-Face meets Dr. Whiskers and he gives him the staff to use the Star Crystal's power. They invite many of Zippy's foes and persuades them to get the other Star Crystals, destroy Zippy, and conquer Ziptown.
While exploring around the city, they stop at a high school called "Reitherman High School" where they run into high school teacher Mrs. Lola Serrano and introduces them to the CEO of the Sugar Rush Candy Company, Kurt C. Mintzwell and he and his loyal butler Edmonton take them a tour around the school, while also revealing that he was friends with Mr. Baxworth and What's-It'-Face and went to the same high school together. Later, Zippy and Wet Willy meet Mrs. Serrano's two students named Vanessa Duncan and her best friend, Gabi Buyer and they followed them after class. Zippy tells them that they came to Manhattan to find the Star Crystals before What's-It's-Face gets it and they need their help. But Vanessa's parents left for a convention and they're trusting her at home by herself, so she doesn't want any strangers in her house causing damage. Gabi convinces Vanessa to let Zippy and Willy stay since she has the Star Crystal. Vanessa agrees to this and let's Zippy stay at her house where they see Flambo and Ember with her pet Chihuahua Pepe while Wet Willy stays at Gabi's house.
The next morning, Ceela and Jenny are trying to find out where the star crystal they lost earlier. Jenny notices that it floated off to Manhattan. As they decide go to tell Zippy (who isn't even home), What's-It's-Face and other villains show up and attack Ziptown. They storm the mall and Burger Shack and trap Mr. Baxworth and Zack in a toilet, but Slugger, Daniel, and the Burger Shack employees stall them long enough for Ceela, Jenny, Zoomie, Jolly, Pinky, Billy, and Frankie to escape. Slugger accidentally reveals that Zippy and Wet Willy have gone to retrieve the Star Crystals. What's-It's-Face sends Von, Freddy, Baby Butch, Floppy, Pastrilum, and Vandit to track them down with Dr. Whiskers releasing his giant robotic mecha cats. Billy, Frankie, their friends, and the Burger Shack employees are thrown out of the mall along with Ceela, Jenny, Zoomie, Jolly, and Pinky. As the Burger Shack employees lost their jobs, they witness their beloved city becoming worst and What's-It's-Face declares himself Emperor of Ziptown. Finding out that Zippy and Wet Willy are also in Manhattan, Ceela and Jenny, Zoomie, along with Jolly, and Pinky decide to go there.
Back in Manhattan, Flambo, Ember and Pepe turn on the TV and Pepe's boss Agent 60 appears on screen. Agent 60 informs that someone is on the verge of searching for all the five Star Crystals and might use them for something terrible. Ember gets the idea to team up with Zippy and his friends to stop this. Before leaving, Wet Willy defends a student named Damian from bullies and Zippy helps Vanessa with her relationship with her boyfriend, Brian Paul, an exchange student from London. Brian tells Vanessa that he's hosting a party and asks her if she and Gabi would like to go and thanks to Zippy's encouragement, she accepts. After escaping some savage stray dogs, Flambo, Ember and Pepe discovered a device that could find the Star Crystals. Baby Butch and Floppy find them and try to capture them, but Flambo, Ember and Pepe defeated them, not before revealing that Dr. Whiskers has joined the villains. Flambo heads to Zippy and gives him the tracking device.
Meanwhile, the gang arrive at Manhattan and they split up to find Zippy and Wet Willy. Zoomie, Jolly, and Pinky meet Brian and he let's them stay in his room for a while. Brian tells them that he has seen Zippy and Willy with Vanessa. But a series of mishaps have Zoomie and Jolly labelled quarter thieves/statue smashers, landing them in jail where they got along with the prisoners. Back in Ziptown, Billy and Frankie sneak into the kitchen at the Burger Shack and go to confront What's-It's-Face. Before Billy can leave and alert Zippy, they are caught by What's-It's-Face and he unleashes the two Star Crystals' powers on a mind-control device that Dr. Whiskers built to mind control all the citizens of Ziptown and sends them after Billy and Frankie and throwing them in his dungeon along with Zack and Mr. Baxworth. Meanwhile, Zippy and Wet Willy go to the Sugar Rush Candy Company that now sells all new Sugar Burgers and Kurt gives them a machine to find a Star Crystal in an Amusement Park called "Fun City", while Flambo, Ember and Pepe leave in pursuit of a biker whom they realize has a star crystal as a necklace. Ceela and Jenny meet Damian and he tells them where Zippy and Wet Willy are going.
Vanessa and Gabi dress up and go to Brian's party as Vanessa leaves Pepe in charge of the house. Zippy and Willy use the device to track down the Star Crystals and one of them is at Fun City, run by Mr. Jeffrey. At the same time, Von, Hazel, Freddy, and the other villains pursuit them. Meanwhile, Flambo, Ember and Pepe catch up to and befriend the biker at East River, who gives them star crystal and takes the trio to Fun City. As night falls, they stop at a local diner called the Milkshake Manor. They meet a Native American zip person named Jim and he warns the two to keep their eyes peeled for anything that might deceive them at Fun City. Arriving at Fun City, they are reunited with Ceela and Jenny who tell them that What's-It's-Face and their enemies have taken over and mind controlled everyone in Ziptown and that Zoomie and Jolly are in prison. The gang later then approach Jack and Mack, who both gotten lost on the way to What's-It's-Face's funhouse and they tell them that they should try the city's attractions. While on the attractions, the villains try to dispose of the pair, but all failed.
