I am currently using the widgets on the phone screen whenever I am getting home It would be very easy if we also had the option on android auto. The hard part I think is to add it to android auto, it should pass some Google policy I believe. it is not so easy as changing manifest of the app and adding the app to auto.

Android Auto worked on my 2019 Honda CR-V on USB cable and Motorola wireless adapter with my S-23 Ultra just fine. S-24 Ultra it does not work at all with either cable or adapter. Screen comes up and says connect USB cable but does not recognize the connection. Adapter shows loading on CR-V screen but never loads. Is this function now just totally broken?

I should add that I have tried multiple 6" high grade 10 gb cables, cleared cash and data and all of the other suggestions I could find on the net and it still does not work. S-23 with 6.0 UI works perfectly. S-24 with 6.1 does not work at all. Both with Android 14.

Update (02/17/24): My AA is still working on Motorola wireless just fine. In fact it is working better than it did on my S22U and S23U. On those phones often when I had a low cell signal it would spool and I would lose my music or it would not start at all. This hasn't happened once with the S24U. Maybe better antenna? Weather and Radar app pops right on the screen when it used to take minutes. I did notice yesterday that in all my fooling around I had turned on AA Developer mode and checked Wireless Android Auto at the top of the list. Don't know what effect this has but you might try it.

I have a very infuriating solution that solved my problem. Android Auto is now working perfectly both with cable and Motorola wireless. Here is the infuriating part. All I did was go into every menu on my 2019 CRV infotainment head and look for a way to update the software. Never found one. When I came out this morning neither the cable or wifi worked. Spent a half hour going through all of the menu selections, and I mean all. Didn't change anything except some nav screen buttons and views. Also clicked on the wifi screen button for the android auto but didn't have a password. Test again and work fine through 3 restarts. Go figure!

I had the same problem with my Android app which was not working with my Galaxy S24. I went to google play on my phone and uninstalled the factory installed Android App. I reinstalled the Android App. I connected my phone to the car and rebooted the program. My problem is now resolved.

I use Zoom for meeting, messages, and phone calls for my work. I was excited when in September 2023 Zoom and Android Auto announced Zoom will now be an app in Android Auto, see -for-android-auto/ and -apps-for-android-auto-and-cars-with-google-built-in/ and yet I still don't have an app for Zoom in Android Auto yet and I can't figure out why. Anyone know how to enable the Zoom Meetings app to work in Android Auto? I have a 2019 Honda Pilot and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone software and apps are all up to date.

I can only say "same issue". Samsung Galaxy S23 + Cupra, Audi and Skoda cars (all Volkswagen AG). I heard rumors that it's only available on a few selected car brands at the moment but it getting close to a year since introduced.

It seems it was offered ( =zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0069088) but later pulled.

It is in the beta track of zoom on android, and I can see and start it in the Android Auto launcher, but so far I've only gotten it to tell me I have no upcoming meetings, including when I have a meeting running on the same phone already, so I'd say the benefit is still not there.

It will be best if we share our car models too. Maybe it is a problem with the infotainment system provided with the cars etc. I tried to use android auto with 2 Peugeots one is a 2021 208, the other is 2023 Rifter both did stuck while setting up the android auto. I hope it will be resolved, besides this i am liking the phone coming iPhone but this leaves a bad taste in mouth.

I have just sent them a video recording, replicating the problem while making a bug log. My android auto shows up after a minute or two waiting. But it just shows an image, it does not respond to touches but sound transmits trough the cable.

freshj1ve I have just sent a charging log, this should not require that much effort I think. This is a small feature that should be ready out of the box, only reason I have changed to the android was community and refined looking nothing OS. I would like a technician response to this thread actually.

I have a question about Teams for Android Auto. Is this ever going to be updated into something useful? Currently it doesn't do anything other then attempt to display messages received. This sole "feature" does not even work. I get messages on my laptop and my phone but nothing comes through AA. There is no ability to take a call through the AA system nor is there an ability to join calls through it.

I fully understand there are limits for a car based system due to safety concerns, but this the current product is currently half-baked and broken. Is there anything on the road map to improve the app?

I've tried all the usual recommendations of updating, clear cache, reinstalling etc. My phone is a S22 Ultra and I have the most up to date Teams and Android Auto Apps. Can someone please shed some light on this?

As for your tech support issue, if this community can't help, you might want to seek assistance at answers.microsoft.com, where there are authorized Microsoft agents available to further troubleshoot with you until your issue is resolved

@someguy23, thanks for asking about this. The low hanging fruit IMO is deploying the ability to make a call to a teams contact through integration with google voice assistant. Until then, one will resort to making standard calls while on the road.

I am having the same Problems with S22 Ultra. I can call people using my Phone but if someone calls me via teams i am getting no notification on my screen. I can answear the call via my phone. Really frustrating. Hope they will fix this fast...

Yes. I cant belive this still is not working propably. Not even in Spotify you can fast forward or rewind Music or Podcasts... With Apple Car Play you can do this easy... i asked google and Spotify for thst missing feature. My request was closed because there is no need btw. Not enough upvotes to my post..... back to the 90s...@eyesonthestreet

Just throwing this in, I need this feature as well. I also have problems where sometimes when I plug my phone in it kills the microphone on both my phone and the car and it is only When I am an active team's call that it doesn't. Really need integrated calling and conferencing with teams on android auto

Still no changes for me in AA. Cant answear Calls on AA and no notifications about new Messages. Cant belive MS and Google are such Dickheads not getting a security relvant feature working in 2022. Tomorrow i will write an Email to google Developers. Maybe they answear me... this is more than frustrating...@someguy23

We discovered that in order to get Teams to work again with android auto we have to deploy android auto also in the work profile. Once done this, a flag appears in android auto configuration that says "allow android auto to access work profile" setting this will re-establish teams functionalities...

If you are still having problems connecting with android auto on you vehicle, on your phone try going to settings, apps, Android Auto app and scroll down to and select storage and clear cache at the bottom of the screen and then restart your phone.

Do we have a list of what works and what doesn't with the current Android Auto integration? I've been attempting to get Google Assistant to work with AA and I'm not sure if it's not working because of my setup or if it's not something that is currently supported. Curious to hear about the experience of others on the subject. I am using a fairly hacky android auto head unit (openauto) so this could be the source of my problems.

arnydo this is by memory so i may be wrong
sandboxed google play settings
android auto
android auto settings
tap version at the bottom 10 times
top right, three dots. click it. developer options
unknown sources option is at the bottom, enable it

Is Android Auto working only on Main user profile?
I have tried it on secondary account, what I know has some functions limited but there I have sandboxed google services.
Is there some guide how to set it up at least to make maps and music (VLC) to work?
Do not care about other things much.
