Hi foks,
This project seems to be interesting, so I did sign up at singly.com
and get stuck at the "Explore-connect" [1] page.

The reason, why I wanted to sign up, is exactly the reason, why I
_don't_ have a facebook or a twitter account. I just don't want to
send data there.

Now I need one, to open a singly account?! For me this is kind of
strange.

Question:
Is there a way to solve the issue, or do I need to get rid of this 1/2
opened account? (and how?)

regards
mario

Well, I feel like you're taking a general purpose round hole of our hosted platform and trying to apply a square peg to it. If you have specialized needs you're going to be better off starting your own local locker and building out from there. Further, it sounds like you want to disable all of the default connectors and just use it as a backing store for your own data design. If that's the case you can look a the push API or adding your own connectors and modifying or adding collections.

Perhaps you can expand on the expectation vs reality gap a litter further, as well.

On the other hand, I don't see any reason we should lock people out just because they don't use FB or Twitter. We only present them first because they're probably the most global and have a good mix of data that makes for a better onboarding experience. It would be trivial to add an "Or see more services" link that reveals the rest.
