Plone 4.0.9 and translations

Hi there,

I use dancing 0.9.9 and singing 0.7.1 on plone 4.0.9. Unfortunately
the frontend and backend pages are always in english. Is this a known
problem? Has anyone a properly working installation?

Thanks guys,

found the issue, the "mo" files where missing and the server was not
generating them.
Had to set the "zope_i18n_compile_mo_files" environment var to fix the
issue.
I am wondering why it isn't a default setting in plone?
