Hi All,

Attached contains the updated Rule book with one addition. There are no free hits for foot fault no-balls.

Below are some of the clarifications from the kick-off call on some of the rules.

1) If batsmen hits the ball above the head, then it is out. If he leaves it’s a wide.

2) Bowlers are allowed to bowl 2 bouncers per over

3) If a bowler touches or crosses the return crease then it’s not a no-ball. The return crease at century park is very close.

4) Bowlers will be bowling from one end only and that would be batsmen facing the lake view.

We are surprised to receive the ‘unavailability & preferences’ responses from the teams on scheduling!!! We made an attempt to put up the tournament match schedule this afternoon based on ‘unavailability & preferences’, but we are very unsuccessful. There is no way that we can conclude the tournament even in next 10 weeks! There are few teams that won’t even start their first match in the tournament for next 3 to 4 weeks!

Given the current state, it is very clear that we cannot start the tournament this weekend! We have decided to move the start date to 7/27.

We wanted to give a fair opportunity to all teams when we asked for ‘unavailability’ in yesterday’s kick-of call. But we are surprised with the responses. We request you to revisit your ‘unavailability’ schedule and come back to us by EOD on Monday, 7/22. No preferences (for specific day/time slots) will be entertained. In the best interest of the tournament, please talk to your teams and cut-down your unavailability as much as possible. Schedule will be published by EOD on Tuesday, 7/23 hoping that teams will cooperate.

Please fill the attached Team details Excel sheet with 20 squad w/ email ids, phone numbers, umpire pool, team name, team logo, captain, vice-captain names. Please send us the completely filled sheets by tomorrow EOD.

Attached contains the Rule book of the tournament.

We received total of 7 nominations. Format of the game would be, each team will be playing against other teams. Total of 21 league matches and the top 4 teams in the table will play semi-finals followed by finals.

Schedule will be pre-published w/ no changes at all. No exceptions at all. No preferences at all! . Please let us know if you have any other planned activity in next 8 weeks before we publish the schedule. Schedule will be published by Thursday 07/18/2013 EOD after the conference call.

Ground reservations: 2 options; with and without reservations;

· w/ reservations - cost per player will be around $30 to $40 for complete tournament.

· Without reservations – Please note that CCL committee will not coordinate for ground availability. If ground is available teams play the match. If not, it will be rescheduled.

· Final call in this aspect will be made after taking all teams’ opinions in the conference call.

There will be a conference call tomorrow 07/18/2013 at 8 - 9 pm with all the captains and vice captains for a tournament kick off call. We will provide the conference call details tomorrow.

Hi All,

We are excited to announce the 2^nd edition of Century Cricket League starting this weekend 07/20/2013. Duration of the tournament would be around 6 – 8 Weeks depending on the no. of teams nominating.

The format of the game and rules are same as that we had for the 1^st edition (15 overs per side and T20 rules). We will have 2 matches on each day of weekend starting at 3 pm to 7:30 pm. Every game is played on the same ground(Century Park – 1184 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills, Illinios)

Teams which are new to the 2^nd edition, we will share the rules in a separate communication.

Hi All,

The ground reservations are done and the schedule has been preponed by 30 min. Below is the schedule for this week.

3^rd August

1) Team Raging Tigers need to be at the ground by 1:00 pm and occupy the ground.

2) Team Wheeling Rangers need to be at the ground 10 min before the game starts

3) For game 1, Umpires from Team Titans to be at the ground 10 min before the game starts.

4) Match kit(Balls, wickets, flags) will be provided by the core committee at 1:00 pm.

5) Team Singha and Team Xtreme need to be at the ground 10 min before the game starts

6) Umpiring for game 2 will be done by Wheeling Rangers

7) Team Xtreme will remove the flags, wickets and hand over the match kit to core committee after game 2.

4^th August

1) Team Titans need to be at the ground by 1:00 pm and occupy the ground.

2) Team Singha need to be at the ground 10 min before the game starts

3) Umpires from Team Xtreme to be at the ground 10 min before the game starts.

4) Team Singha will remove the flags and wickets after the match.

General:

1) Batting team will be responsible for filling scoresheet each innings played. Scoresheets to be filled in with all the details(Bowling and Batting stats). Scoresheets must be signed by both the captains and umpires for each game. These scoresheets need to be scanned and sent to Core committee by Monday EOD.

2) All teams are responsible for picking up the trash(water bottles, food, covers, cans, etc) and putting them in trash bins after each game.

3) No-Show of Umpires will result to a penalty of 25 runs in overall calculation of run-rate
