Hi Guys,

Just wanna know if anyone interested in doing paired programming on
weekends (5-10 hrs per weekend). No grand ideas, just some building of
testing related stuff (since i'm a fan of BDD). Ideas include:

1. ruxu ... xul testing in ruby, more or less a wrapper round uxu
(http://www.clear-code.com/software/uxu/testcases.html.en), writting
just for fun

2. ??? ... a simple stubbing framework to support cross process
stubbing, such that it is possible to do stubbing when running
cucumber in selenium or culerity mode, where rails & cucumber are
running in different processes

3. tumin-facets ... extracting + lots of refining of some existing
helpers we have for in our cucumber test suite and package into a gem

Anyone interested just drop me a mail or reply to this thread can do.

I'm hoping that these paired programming sessions can be fun.

:] TY

i would be interested - especially since i want to learn the BDD parts of it.

i am also building out an in-house CRM system that handles the most critical aspects of customer development (understanding viral, user behavior, passionate users, app breakdowns) for a startup (ruby, mysql, tokyo with a sinatra web layer), so i am very open to sharing the design decisions that go behind some of the development as well.

(Slightly off-topic.. but...)

linuxNUS is planning a Hackfest (which has specifically this kind of weekend programming projects in mind) this month.. would you like to have your pair-programming session during the Hackfest too?

Hi Ruiwen,

Thanks for the suggesting the hackfest thing, will take note of that
... but the paired programming sessions i have in mind would be
something that can last several weeks, taking abt 5-10 hrs weekend.
Ideally the sessions wouldn't be too intense, wanna take things at a
more leisure pace on weekends.

Hey Guys,

Zan started this project http://github.com/liangzan/cachemock , which
seems to scratch my itch for a stubbing across diff processes. I'm
going to pair up with him :]

Cheers !!
