Alright ladies and gentleman, let's try again.

I just managed to free up December 15th (a Friday) in my schedule. It's
the only weekend-ish day I've got left til January :P

If you want to have some food, drink, play some games (Settlers, other
euro-games). Throw a message in this thread and let me know if that day
works for you.

If we can get a half decent mix of people who can make it I'd love to
do it.

I've got a dining room table, and a big coffee table. Probably enough
room for 10-12 people have a couple games going. I'm a Settlers n00b
but I really enjoy it.

Harry, Choon Keat, Chu Yeow - I'm counting on you guys - and you too
Nick - and everyone else who I haven't met. :)

It would be at my place just off Upper Bukit Timah on Hume Avenue.
Heck, maybe we could all order some pizza or something.

Lemme know.

Oh well, I'll be gone by then, but I'll be back again pretty early in
January. If the evening proves a success, maybe we could do the second
Friday in January as well?

Have fun!

Hey Herry - all good. I've only played 4-5 times. Che Yeow has never
played either.

I'll make sure I have a cold beer here for you (in case you need to
wallow about the numbered days of BookJetty).

:)

Hey Jason, Sean.

Jason: I'm not too sure about the timing... I can't say for certain -
but we could very well be wrapping up around 10pm.

Sean: Sure you can still join us. I'll send you an email with
directions and what have you.

First time playing, I think the Settlers is fun, we had a good laugh,
trading our resources, lelang, and stealing resources, we finished at about
11:15pm.

Sean was the winner, show hand with the unexpected two development cards
containing e extra points, kept the rest of us unguarded.

Thanks Daniel for hosting this. :)

It was great fun on Friday thanks to Daniel for having us.

I guessed I won out of pure darn luck since the I totally relied on the
2 x victory pts development cards and praying hard for soldier cards to
appear in my hands; while the rest of the guys are just waiting to end
the game on the round after me with their Settlement=>City upgrading
all ready. =)

I'm green with envy, although I was having fun myself doing river
rafting, scuba diving and canopy walks in N. Mindanao. . . Any chance
of a repeat mid-January? :-)

Wow you guys have cool things to do. I just came back from some boring
meetings in France where it's freezing cold :( Let me know of the next
game!

Sausheong,

It may have been cold, but those pics on your blog looked pretty
atmospheric. So I will take it as a given that so far we have two
votes--mine and yours--for a replay sometime in the middle of this
coming month? Do we do Settlers again, or some other game?

BTW, did you get my email? I'm showing my ignorance, but the way I
envision things, I'm not sure whether to use callbacks/closures,
continuations or possibly even the Generator package. I'll take this
offline with you after you have caught up a bit. . .

As for your "Thanks" post, don't tell me about it: I just got back
from the Philippines!

Best,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Just got back from KL this afternoon, the drive was smooth since it was
New Year's Eve :)

I got your previous mail but the Internet connection was pretty patchy
in Malaysia so I couldn't reply properly. Let me know when you're
available again to catch up. I'll reply your mail offline.

And not to hijack this thread for other stuff, I'm ok for a game
(Settlers, which I don't know, or AD&D or other RPGs which I do know)
mid this month if anyone is kind enough to organize something please do
let me know as well!

Happy New Year!

Would love if someone could organize a DnD session... Never played Pen
and Paper but a big fan of the computer RPGs, books (Dragonlance and
Forgotten Realms, specifically).

And Happy New Year to all :)

I haven't played AD&D since 2nd edition. I bought the 3rd ed books but
before I could even take time to read them properly the 3.5 ed came
out. Sigh ...

If there are more players in this group for AD&D I could start reading
up again and see if I could rustle up a game or two.

BTW I mean the pen & paper game, not the online or CRPG stuff. Nothing
beats pen & paper and a good imagination ;)
