Please spare a thought for the host as well. He has been trying very
hard to have a game, abandon his wife for us, etc.

we do have 2 new guys joining the group tho, so nothing too major.

I propose a $50 buy-in tourney if everyone shows up on time.

that way we will have a prize pool of 400, so 1st pays 250, 2nd pays
150.

plus if we allow rebuys up to 2nd level, then pool will sweeten.

after which, we can have our regular 1/2 game.

it all depends on group consensus (whether we all show up at same time
and agree)
