Hello SLSC organisers! Happy New Year!
Sorry for the absence. I’ve been really caught up with getting our flat back in order and with all the repairs that had to be done.
Thanks to all of you, we’ve had a great Lean Startup Conference rebroadcast. Now, we’ve got to move on with our 2013 plans. The last we met, I believe that we want a smaller group meetup in addition to our mainstay monthly meetup.
So here are two questions to get our planning going:
1) What are the details for the first smaller group meetup? Name, place, timing, objective?
If I recall, we should be able to have the smaller meetup in Blk 71. I’m suggesting that we meet on a Friday as that is my day off for Law school.
2) I believe that we wanted our first topic for 2013 to be on customer development. This means we need to find the speakers who can share on this topic well. Any recommendations? Our first monthly meetup will begin in Feb 2013.

Hi Isaac and Fergie,
Any headway regarding the speakers? If not, can I just announce the event first on meetup to get people to sign up first?
Also, I’ll remove the restrictions on RSVPs but will indicate that there’s only enough seats for 70 people. The rest will have to stand or lounge around.
Finally, can I also let people know that LSM is coming end March? Amy has requested that we broadcast this as soon as possible.

Wed 6th works for me. I think we should stick with the Hub for now.
Fergie can you lock in the venue?
Then we can both work on speakers.

I've got a speaker or two as well. Shall we go for Wed 6th? And do we want to return to The Hub?

Hi everyone,
Should I change the time back to 730pm? I noticed at the last event in Nov that when it was at 7pm, many people were late as they went to grab a bite before coming. So I think it’s better to have it at 730pm and let people have their dinner first.
Also, regarding LSM, I’ll just put in a PS one liner after the meetup announcement to ask people to go to the launch page for LSM.

We don’t have to pack up so late. We can start packing the tables at 9pm. That’s what we did last time in Nov so we don’t have to end so late.
If we start at 7pm, it means that we open for registration at 630pm which means that we need to start setting up the place at 6pm. At 6pm, there were quite a lot of people downstairs that we have to ask to make way for us. The speakers seemed to have difficulty coming earlier too.
Also, since we already have a 30 min registration time, this means that if we delay because of late comers, some people could be waiting for up to an hour. I feel it wouldn’t be nice to keep them waiting if they came early to register.
Alternatively, we could aim for 715pm which was the time we actually started for the Nov meetup.
