Want to witness the magic of Disney's The Lion King in Paris? Hakuna Matata! Fans of this iconic work can rejoice, as the Théâtre Mogador presents the opening of Season 3 of The Lion King, promising an unforgettable experience for young and old alike! Come and discover the captivating story that has touched the hearts of over 110 million people worldwide. The Disney musical The Lion King will take you on an emotional journey.

Since 1997, the musical The Lion King has captivated audiences worldwide. From its debut in Minneapolis, it has charmed over 110 million spectators, from Broadway to London, Paris, Hamburg, Tokyo and Singapore, marking its triumphant international presence.

The Lion King tells the story of Simba, a lion cub predestined for the throne. Following the heartbreaking death of his father, Mufasa, Simba goes into exile, finding solace in his faithful friends, Timon and Pumbaa. Their teaching emphasizes the value of friendship and duty. His destiny takes a new turn when he encounters Nala, his first love, prompting him to reclaim his heritage. Through his adventures, the musical explores notions such as identity, redemption and the personal quest, celebrating at the same time family ties and the natural cycle of life.

For its return to Mogador, The Lion King, whose music is played live by an orchestra (a special feature of Stage productions), has been given a set that alternates between large real elements (lion rock, elephant graveyard...) and colorful video projections. A set also created by the dancers, whose extravagant outfits allow plants, among other things, to appear. The Lion King is also a show in which the characters are all animals, with no animals on stage.

The Lion King is also a troupe of talented artists. As with Charlie et la Chocolaterie (currently at the Théâtre du Gymnase), the teams have found highly professional children to play the roles of young Simba and Nala. Among the lions, Jean-Luc Guizonne is undoubtedly the most impressive, having taken over the role of Mufasa (which he had previously played) at short notice. We had already adored the man who appeared in Star Ac' 5 in Chicago, at Mogador, a few years ago.

The story, punctuated by 17 songs, (some of which were created especially for the show) follows Simba, a young lion whose father has been murdered and who, believing himself to be rejected by his family, will have to grow up and make a long journey before finding his place as a lion then as the ruler of the savannah.

Created in 1997, this show has reunited more than 100 milion spectators all over the world! After it's first sucess more than 13 years agos in the Mogador theater, the musical is coming back in 2020! Adapted from the Disney's animated film, this musical is family friendly.

You will follow Simba, a young lion in the Serengeti savannah, and his journey in Tanzania. You will watch as he goes through a series of adventures with his friends Timon and Pumbaa. He will fight against his uncle Scar, his father Mufasa's assassin and follow his journey to becoming the next King of the Land of the Lions!
