It is essential that you link your Microsoft account to the Windows 11 license on your device. Linking your Microsoft account with your digital license enables you to reactivate Windows using the Activation troubleshooter whenever you make a significant hardware change.
Digital licenses are associated with your hardware and linked to your Microsoft account, so there's nothing you need to find on your PC. You're all set once your PC is connected to the internet and you log in to your Microsoft account.
If you are installing Windows on a new device or motherboard for the first time and you do not have a product key, select I don't have a product key during the installation setup screens. When prompted, enter the Microsoft account you want to use to purchase a digital license for this device. Once the setup screens are completed and Windows has finished installing, go to activation settings: Select the Start button, and then select Settings > System > Activation . Then select Open Store to purchase a digital license to activate Windows.
Once you have your account linked, then you can run setup to reinstall Windows 11. For more info about how to create installation media to reinstall Windows 11, go to the Microsoft software download website . When creating installation media, make sure to choose the edition of Windows 11 that matches the edition already installed on your device.
Make sure you associate your Microsoft account to your digital license to prepare for hardware changes. The association enables you to reactivate Windows using the Activation troubleshooter if you make a significant hardware change later. For more info, see Reactivating Windows after a hardware change .
If your original hardware manufacturer (OEM) changed the motherboard for you, your PC should reactivate automatically. If it doesn't activate, your OEM might have provided a COA card with a 25-character key under a gray scratch cover. Follow these steps to get activated.:
If you finished setup and did not enter your product key, you can still enter your product key. Select the Start button, and then select Activation > Update product key > Change product key .
If you do not reinstall Windows, then you can select the Start button, and then select Activation > Update product key > Change product key to reactivate your device. Otherwise you can enter your product key during installation of Windows.

On Jan 8th, I installed Parallels on my MacBook Air 13-inch M1. During Parallels installation, it was suggested to install a copy of Windows which I did and later realised later that it was a copy of Windows 11 for ARM based systems. Right after Windows 11 installation, I acquired a Digital License through the Microsoft Store. So far, all good... Windows 11 is gorgeous by the way :D
Since I will be mostly on road, I quickly realised that I should host this VM on my other bigger MacBook Pro 16-inch due to his larger screen and more RAM. First thing that I learned is that, in Parallels, I cannot move a Windows VM created on a Mac M1 to an Intel based Mac.
My only hope now, before expending another USD 100+, is to migrate the Windows 11 Digital License to a new VM created on Intel based Mac as Windows 10 and then upgraded to Windows 11.
Can this be done?
I tried capturing the product key [with help of external tool] from the initial VM, removed the license using slmgr tool and tried insert the product key on the new VM without success; also tried to start activation on the new VM and then use troubleshoot/hardware change with no success.
The usage of digital licenses are tied to the hardware installed on. In this case you will need to follow the instructions in the next official article regarding "Reactivating Windows after a hardware change".
However, I have a question. I have at least 3 PCs in my house with the same Microsoft account on them. Presumably, all of them have digital license linked to this same Microsoft account. I wonder if there is a centralized place to check all my digital licensed connected to my Microsoft account?
As you have installed (and activated) Windows 10 on 3 PCs,Microsoft now holds in its activation database threedigital licenses for each of the computers by their hardware.Upon reinstalling Windows 10 on any of them, activation willbe immediate once Windows gets in touch with the Microsoft servers,no matter which account was used to login, Microsoft account orlocal account.
There is no connection between your Microsoft account and itsstored digital licenses, if none of these licenses was everinstalled on the current device.Go toaccount.microsoft.com/devicesto see a list of all the devices associated with your Microsoft account.

Read-only mode for Whiteboard in a Teams meeting allows the meeting organizer to choose how they want participants to interact with the board. When a presenter chooses read-only mode, all other meeting participants on the whiteboard will have a view-only experience. At any time during the meeting, the organizer can allow collaboration from others from the Settings menu. For enterprise customers, whiteboards default to collaboration mode. For education customers, teachers can choose read-only or collaboration mode before creating each whiteboard.
