Dear experts,
I have tested the basic QPSK simulink model and perfect !!! I receive the Hello world msg in the command window.

I wonder if it is possible to create a backup channel for sending ACK/NACK or any other control information from Tx to Rx, something like a common control channel for feedback etc. or may be there is something built in that we can make use of. If yes, may you please guide me with these steps.

would be thankful for your kind help.

Best Regards
Usman Ali

Hi,

there are several ways for creating a "channel" just for control
information. Channel can be a separate modulated carrier within your
observation bandwidth or you can create a frame structure that
encapsulates the payload and the control information.

Hi Micheal,
Thanks alot for your rapid response.
1. could you please explain a little bit more on how to modulate a seprate carrier within the given BW.
2. I am currently using XCVR2450 board which is half duplex. my Idea is to send Information on the Air during communication and later on I will add the Idea of Adapting parameters based on Receiver feedback or channel quality etc.
As a start-up for my understanding, do you suggest that implementing this control channel idea will work with the basic QPSK example module of Simulink (Just for testing purpose) or do I have to design my own communication module (In this 2nd Case what steps should be taken). I am actually a Simulink beginner so excuse me for any ignorant kind of questions.

Kind Regards
Usman Ali
