I'm searching out other volunteer activities and this person had
several alternatives I might check and and get back to you all on. Let
me know if anything sound interesting....

============================
Good morning Michael Endrizzi

Thanks again for your call this morning. I have shared your interest
with both meals and IT and have observed a good excitement about the
prospects.

As I promised, I am attaching a group reservation form. Please share
the desires of your group, both their interests and talents. Our IT
department has shared that it needs competent professionals for a
number of different projects.

Here is a small list of some of our immediate needs. It gives a
sample. There is delight in connecting volunteer interests and
desires to the needs of our programs.

1. We need people to come to our Men’s program share in an evening
meal, help with cleaning rooms, organize donations and share in the
distribution that goes on every evening.
2. Help is need for child care Monday, Wednesday & Friday evenings
at our Naomi Family Center. Our mothers are being asked to take
classes each evening and help is needed to take care of children while
they do so. We need volunteers on Mondays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and
Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m. We have a Child Development
Center site one half block from the Naomi Center where there is a
small gym and tables and special rooms which are utilized for play and
supervision. The children range from babies to middle school. Groups
have found it both enjoyable and purposeful.
3. Sandwich making is still needed. We are also seeking to upgrade
their taste and nutrition. We have developed a sheet which shares how
a group might help. I have attached this information. A group could
come to do this on a Saturday or Sunday morning or afternoon. Please
note that this is limited to volunteers 13 years and older.
4. In the spring, around May 1st, we also hope to gather help on
Sunday afternoons to pick up and prepare food items from our local
farmers’ market. It will both increase our available supply of ‘fresh
vegetables and fruits’ as well as help us cut costs by securing these
as donations.
5. I’m not sure what your group members do all day long. Often
volunteers would like to do something different. Projects can range
from painting and maintenance to helping a staff develop an Excel
sheet and add information which can communicate our use of vehicles.

Please pass on our gratitude for considering our needs. I look
forward to the prospect of connecting.
