Why there is so much Silence :) We still have to go long miles before remembering our first run ...I love to see mails for Saturday and Sunday run which compel me to Run here...This mail has reminded me my first day in Bagmane Tech Park though ;)

Have you ever experienced a moment in your life when you just ran out
of words and you go... s i l e n t ???

Let me assist you in recalling...

.. the moment when you left your home for the first time and you look   back at your parents who are worried that their son/daughter are
leaving them yet happy that their child took the first step towards  independence.

... the moment when the girl/boy you like most.. smiled back at you! You dont say anything.. you just smile back..

... the moment when you get better marks than you expected... those "numb" moments of ecstacy n surprise "is that true?"...

... the moment when you are parting with your old friend(s) and the train has just started... and you are standing on the door of the  wagon.. waving "bye-bye" with your heart beating fast...

... the moment after the HR manager has just called you and told  you,"You are through! Congrats!"

... the moment when you sit alone in your room after having told  everyone that you cleared that exam you prepared for 6 months!!

You can go on remembering your "special" moments!

I had always wondered why I never said anything to myself at those  moments.. as if it was "understood"... happiness, joy, pain.. all
feelings just flowed ceaselessly in the 'years' that passed in those  flash moments!

They say.. the best way to communicate is through "silence".
Love. Joy. Grief. Surprise. Anger. Hope. Expectations. Support.
Non-cooperation...

Can you imagine the importance of a silent moment in a song??

When Bryan Adams stops for a while along with music, before he goes
on in his husky voice...
... Please forgive me. I cant stop loving you!

Ever had those moments when you thought you were tired enough that you reach for your bed after dinner.. but find yourself wide awake looking at the roof of your room silently...

But you sure are 'thinking'... those moments of self-talk are the
most important in our lives. Those moments when we listen to our own
hearts! Those promises... those decisions... those are the moments
when we make our destinies!

Next time you go silent... listen carefully to what your heart is
saying.. listen to its joy...listen to its pain.. listen to its
fears.. listen to its desires..

Dont make it shut up and go off to sleep...
LISTEN TO THAT VOICE and ACCEPT EVERYTHING IT SAYS!
That voice alone can lead you to the abode of peace that your sleep
lacks...
peace that awaits you

Silence..

Speak less to people  to whom you love most......

because if they can't understand your  silence

they can never understand your words...

Very nice read and thought provoking.

Thanks Saurabh for bringing this in. I feel the same . Missing the group runs. Sad to see the group disintegrated like this.
Though some of us do run on weekends in cubbon park, it is happening by forming smaller subgroups.

Lets get together for the runs. If not on weekdays, at least on weekends. I will send out a mail if that helps.Others please volunteer if I miss sending it.

There is also the Contours Women's Day run on March 2nd other than the Pipeline Road run on March 9th that Vishwa mentioned.

Please share your thoughts and action plan :D ;)

Regards,
Jayanthi

Sourabh you broke the silence in a pleasant way :)

Thanks to Nagarjun, Vishwa, Jayanthi and Daya in breaking us out of our silence!

I have already registered for the March 2nd (Woman's day / Contours) run. I believe the registration closes on the Feb 25th (I read this from their website).

I am in for the March 9th Pipeline run too. Keep in mind many of the runners in the Pipeline run are "ace" runners and do long distance running. Pipe line roads have undulations (I have not been there but I heard, March 9th will be my first time). But we can run whatever we can....5 km......8 km...10km. There is also an adiga's - if you want to have breakfast after the run.

I usually run at Cubbon on Saturdays and Sundays (and on Wednesday's near my house). But usually I go late at around 7 am and finish by 8 or 8:30 am. 5:45 am is too early for me.

I suggest that though individuals may run wherever and whenever, let us ensure we do a "group" run once (or twice) a week at least to preserve the identity of the group. Perhaps end with a breakfast to encourage camaraderie as we can't "network" while running! Of course, without any compulsions.

It is important that we sign up some more non-Novell people into the group.

Our leader Harish must break his silence! :)  Ravishankar and Prabhakaran too!

I have enjoyed being part of this group.

Regards,
Siva

Nice :)
Just posted the details on FB for the wider audience and if anybody else wants to join.
I will be missing tomorrow's run though. :( Going out of station. And going for Pinkathon on Sunday.
Will join next week for sure.

@Daya: I will be registering for CWD run this weekend. I think Ravi has already registered. Maybe some problem with the site. Try again :D ;)

Happy Running everyone :)

Jayanthi

Agree that we need to do 1 or 2 runs a week together and build the momentum again. Will join from next week onwards.
