RE: Error writing to the Logs Directory

Good Morning,

 

Just upgraded to 2.4.4 and I’m seeing an error writing to the logs directory – both in the browser and the SimpleSAMLphp log located in the directory it’s purportedly unable to write to. Any thoughts? The logs directory is “/logs/simplesamlphp/”.

Hey Mark,

The upgrade from 2.4.3 > 2.4.4 is just an update of a secondary dependency. Nothing more.

They issue you are encountering is something local. We cannot help you with that.

Hi all,

it is not only secondary library, I do diff between two version and is
more then that. But that isnt something new, it is mostly connected to
composer and way how SSP utilize secondary library.

Additional to that SSP tar.gz dosnt have cache and logs directories by
default, you need to create they by yourself , also be aware that both
directory need to be accessible by your HTTPD/PHP service. If you use
container version carefully set permission on build time.

Check also config/config.conf directory, for true path of your loging
directories (/logs/simplesamlphp/... is somehow unusual place :) ) .
