It looks like it has been over a year since this group was active, but
I just ran across an article on LifeHacker about SimpleNote, and this
script was referenced on the SimpleNote page.

I ran it, threw some text files into its watched directory, ran it
again, and it creates the notes in SimpleNote with the right names.
However, the contents of those notes, when accessed via SimpleNote on
iphone or a Windows client, are just the name of the file again, not
the actual body of the file. (For example, a file named "foo.txt"
with a recipe for chili in it will just show up in SimpleNote as foo
with contents of "foo" instead of the chili recipe.) Anyone know
anything about this?

Also, if you're looking for a feature request (which I doubt you are),
I would love a daemon mode. That is, something like
"SimpleNoteSync.pl -d 5" which would re-sync every 5 minutes. This
looks like it would be trivial to do, but since I can't get the actual
note bodies synced, I'm reluctant to mess with it.

(I am running this on FreeBSD 8-STABLE with perl 5.10.1.)

Thanks!

James

I'm no longer developing this script - it's open source, so you (or
anyone else) may do with it as you like.
