Indic Language Support

Hi All,

     How do I go about trying to add support for an Indic language. I want to try to have Hindi support for the same. Please can you provide the steps that I would need to take for the same.

Hi Vishnoo,

It would be a good idea to look at the other forks of SimpleNLG that have implemented an additional language to the default English language support. Please have a look at this section of the GitHub README.md file: https://github.com/simplenlg/simplenlg#simplenlg-for-other-languages 

The main points for implementing any new language would be the following:

• Finding and building a lexicon for the given target language.
• Implementing rules for the following processing steps:
• Syntax processing – Performing steps like feature unification, setting features, adding features, etc.
• Morphology – Word inflection  
• Morphophonology – Determiner Agreement and Word Contraction
• Orthography – Punctuation and formatting.
