Hi Kyle,
   I was wondering if you could update the simplekml samples to show how to use a model with the gx:Track and the gx:multitrack elements. I have been working on it for a while but can't get my model to show up.
On as separate note, I have noticed that newgxangel does not put a carriage return in the kml like newgxcoors and newwhen.

example:

<gx:Track>
     <when>...</when>
     <when>...</when>
     <gx:coords>...</gx:coords>
     <gx:coords>...</gx:coords>
     <gx:angle>...</gx:angle><gx:coords>...</gx:coords>
</gx:Track>

As always thanks for all your efforts with simplekml it is outstanding.

Morgan

Hi Morgan,

Thank you for the request, I had a lot of fun putting together the sample. Attached is a sample I made for you (I will update the website with it soon). In the zip is the python file with the sample code, the generated kmz and a folder with the model (dae) file I used. When opening the kmz for the first time it will look like there is nothing in the kml, but you have to give Google Earth awhile (up to a minute) to load the model before it will appear (please be patient).

Let me know if something is not clear with the code and I will try to explain it.

I hope you are a Batman fan ;)

Regards,

Kyle
