SimpleCV - MAC install issues

This is my first try with SimpleCV

I installed SimpleCV on a Macbook from the SimpleCV superpack 1.1

The install log lists some errors:

error: /usr/local/bin/easy_install: Permission denied

Installing f2py script to /usr/local/bin

error: /usr/local/bin/f2py: Permission denied

Installing iptest script to /usr/local/bin

error: /usr/local/bin/iptest: Permission denied

Installing easy_install script to /usr/local/bin

error: /usr/local/bin/easy_install: Permission denied

It was downloaded on 2 June 2012 - also I see that the sampleimages were not installed.

I have seen other posts about this issue but I thought that the issue had been solved.

Anybody have an idea how I can straighten out the installation?
