1) Today is last date to submit MEF to ICAI online.

2)GST: The Union Cabinet approved changes suggested by a Rajya Sabha Select Committee to the GST Constitution Amendment Bill, including compensating the States for five years for loss of revenue.

3) NBFC: RBI has reviewed the guidelines on Restructuring of Advances given by NBFCs. In terms of the extant instructions, NBFCs may restructure loans, subject to the extant prudential norms on restructuring of advances, by way of revision of DCCO beyond the time limits and retain the ‘standard’ asset classification.

4) IT: The rule states that if any assessee is claiming refund then it is mandatory to e file.
The change in the rule is only abt e filling bcz till last year assessee could even claim the refund by manual filling.The rule no where says that e file by 31st august.

I, CA Nitesh More, had talked with Top level income tax officer & communicated that such sms is creating confusion among professional all over India , as there is no such provision in law. 

He told that he was out of town & came today. He will look into matter.
