For the second time in a year I just lost all the notes stored on this app!

Something is very wrong with this application and I DO NOT TRUST IT AT ALL! 

It's supposed to be a "synchronized" note taking application but i don't use any synchronization so I think it's being stolen.

And there is no technical support or a clue about where the content disappears or is "synched" to. 

Unless somebody from the application "Simple Notepad" can explain what the hell is going on, I think there is something FISHY here.

I posted a complaint to Google but haven't heard anything yet.

I hope I'm just clueless and paranoid but the lack of support is also very worrisome.

I just found where some of the data and notes I stored under this app went (into a folder variously named "Simple Notepad" under Google bookmarks -- but it is still very unsettling how it doesn't ask or inform the user how the hell to get your data back or where to look for it when it disappears and WHY!

Hi Bozo,

Just to reassure you the data never leaves your browser/Google. The cross browser syncing is done using your browser bookmarks and the data is written there for syncing purposes only, in addition it uses a local database within your browser to store the actual content, again no data leaves your browser. 

I am sorry if you have lost your notes but SimpleNotepad was designed for the temporary storage of notes and not as a persistent indefinite storage of notes. 

To be honest I have been toying with the idea of removing the extension as there are other alternatives on the market that weren't present when this was created and I find myself using the extension less and less.
