Getting sync to work

I have a chrome at home as well as here at work, but there are notes that are just not syncing between them. I have synching turned on, the BSync folder is there, under Other Bookmarks... But I just cannot get the notepad here to show me the contents from the notepad at home. So what's the secret to getting this thing to work?
