Opinions on new Songs "Vision Thing" und "First You Jump"

How are the opinions about the new songs? I quite like the overall sound of Vision Thing, but i miss some surprising elements in the song. Its a little repetitive and for me gets a little bit boring after hearing it several times. Normally i can hear new simple minds songs many times without getting bored. Discovering new things and elements with every hearing. So my conclusion is that the producers didnt put much work and effort in the song. And isnt the keyboard/synth-solo mixed too quite? You need to cran up the volume to hear it properly... What do you think about it?

For me the Song "First You Jump" is the stronger song. Also up to now i only heard the Live Version of it. Im curious how the studio version sounds.

I agree that Vision Thing doesn't venture far from the initial sound... but I still like it. Agree that First You Jump has more about it.

Now that we know Vision Thing is the lead off song on the album here is my ranking of the opening tracks to SM albums. I would love to hear others rankings as a bit of fun.

I like the new material so far. Production wise, It’s nice to hear Jim’s vocals taking centre stage, with guitars/keyboards and drums nicely spaced son you get the real three dimensional feel to the songs. I have been lucky enough to hear planet zero as well and you’ll hear Charlie at his best when you get to hear it.
