Can I use scct to get an instrumented compile first and then run test to get coverage data?

In the wiki, it's only stating that "sbt clean scct:test" is the way. However, I want to get some instrumented class first and collect data later on. Can I do that in some way?

Also, it looks scct tool only support getting cc data from test under /src/test/. Shouldn't it support testing from any method including outside web test automation or even manual test?
