The jar isn't empty. It contains package.scala, which is the only source file for that artifact. That particular module integrates all of the other modules and so it only has a package object. You can find the sources for the other modules in the associated source jars, such as:

http://repo.typesafe.com/typesafe/releases/org.scala-sbt/main_2.9.1/0.11.3/srcs/
