Why not join us at one or more of the Fossil Fools Day (April 1) demonstrations at TD banks,  huge funder of the Climate Cliff Tar Sands KeystoneXL pipeline project.  We can leave our kids more interesting weather or civilization destroying climate chaos and the TarSands projects will definitely put us in  second category.

We are telling TDBank that they need to divest from the KeystoneXL, Tarsands Pipeline immediately, and telling customers that they need to tell TDBank that also, that they will divest, move their money,  if TD continues to invest in the destruction of mother earth's future.

fyi,  below is a letter I sent to the Daily Gazette expressing my personal thoughts and feelings in this area.

Fossil Fools Day

Ten years ago, we embarked on a 4 trillion dollar war, destroying Iraq for its oil.

This past Saturday, a letter pushed  KeystoneXL TarSands exploitation.  Sunday,  an opinion piece again promoted hydrofracking.  What do these have in common?   They all push severe fossil fuel extraction that permanently destroy lives, land, water and our very climate.  

We are addicts that will do anything for one more fix.  We are hitting bottom.  Lets admit our problem, our mistakes, and move down the road to recovery.

An independent Stanford study(Mark Jacobson,et al) just documented how New York could become fossil fuel free in 20 years, with a net gain from our investments.

We need to take the next step. We can do it. We have to do it.  We need to do it ourselves. We need to push our politicians.  And we need to redesign, divest from and/or decommission any pathological corporations that stand in our way.

Lets be fossil fools no more.  Lets use less.  Lets use clean,safe peaceful renewables.  And what better day to begin than April 1, International FOSSIL FOOLS DAY.
