Whenever I run SimPhy with the option -st f:1, I get the error message

Improper value sampling the parameter -St, Species tree length. Please, check your sampling settings and try again

I think this may be a bug as when I run SimPhy with say, -st f:1.0000000001 or -st f:0 I don't get the error, and it doesn't seem like there would be any reason sampling from fixed:1 should be an issue anyway. Here's an example command that produces this issue for me.

simphy_mac64 -st f:1.0 -sb f:0.01 -sd f:0.001 -cs 112233 -sp f:10000 -o test -v 1

I am sorry I never answered this. The reason is that you are asking SimPhy to simulate something that happens in the time interval (0,1) generations. No event can occur in strictly less than one generation.
